Clear your mind
0:30 - 1:06 (36 min)
To change the world, you must first change yourself. Look within to see your anger, hatred, love, and devotion. Change comes through sitting with a guru, meditating, praying, and asking for forgiveness. The guru forgives and guides you to the Supreme Self. Do not blame others; first fix the bad within you. Never doubt the guru's decisions, even if they seem illogical, for his will is for your betterment. His grace alone ensures the disciple's welfare. A story illustrates this: disciples testing a guru with a bird asked if it was alive or dead. The guru said, "This is in your hands," showing our karma is our own. Another story tells of a marital misunderstanding over bread that lasted fifty years, highlighting how unspoken resentments cause lifelong suffering. Clear your mind through communication and forgiveness.
"Guru kṛpā he kevalaṃ śiṣya kalyāṇamaṅgalam."
"This is in your hands."

The heart's plea is for the Guru's grace to reveal the true experience and provide refuge. When the Guru draws near, hope becomes possible; when distant, one is lost, not knowing where to turn. Worldly illusion holds no appeal, for nothing else is desired. Taking refuge in the Guru eradicates all deceit and the cycle of eighty-four. Through true association, one seeks freedom from the world. By meditating on the spotless, bondage is destroyed. If entangled in the consequences of worldly actions, one prays not to be drowned. The yogic sleep of the realized being is a state of wakeful awareness. In that sleep, one knows wakefulness and makes the night bright as day. The senses are withdrawn yet perceiving, unattached like a white lotus in muddy water. One abides in the self, radiant on the throne of the heart. Wherever one looks or hears, there is no ordinary thought or sight. This is the sleep known to saints and sages, where consciousness remains fully conscious.

Peace is humanity's deepest longing, achieved through inner transformation. Outer circumstances reflect our inner state; greed, jealousy, and hate destroy peace. Yoga provides a practical path, developing inner peace through spiritual techniques. This inner peace then reflects outward into our families and the world through our words and actions. Around the world - YIDL at the Budapest Vegetarian Festival 2011
3:15 - 3:20 (5 min)
Yoga in Everyday Life is a system of practice for daily living. We demonstrate its aspects at events like the Vegetarian Festival. The practice involves paying attention to bodily sensations, which connects you to vitality carried by circulation and prāṇa. The system offers recommendations, with a vegetarian lifestyle being foremost. It is not enough to merely be vegetarian; one must also move, exercise, practice prāṇāyāma, and relax. This philosophy aims first for good health, suggesting many troubles originate from the stomach and the sense of taste. Managing this is possible through the master yoga system. Beyond physical benefits, the philosophy makes life easier, providing opportunity to find oneself and ultimately reach the Self of God, Paramātmā.
"Among these, the foremost is to maintain a vegetarian lifestyle."
"He can deal with everything if he is involved in the master yoga system."

Live as a Yogi
3:25 - 4:01 (36 min)
A yogic life honors the body as divine through natural nourishment and disciplined practice.
Modern disease arises from unnatural living, improper eating, and environmental harm. While doctors are a boon, true health returns to the natural way, like nourishment from a grandmother's kitchen. Constant eating and artificial habits shorten life. Past generations lived long through natural sustenance. The body is our temple and primary religion. One must live with consistency, avoiding contradictions like practicing yoga then consuming harmful substances. Begin each day mindfully, acknowledging our human form and connection to elements like water. The aim is for all to become yogis—healthy, peaceful, and devoted to the living God within this body.
"The best medicine is the kitchen of our grandmothers."
"Our body is our God. It is our holy place."

The forms of God
4:05 - 4:39 (34 min)
The journey of the jīva and the nature of the divine is explored. Living beings exist only to consume and be consumed, trapped in a cycle. Humans initially lacked knowledge, living like animals until divine revelation provided guidance. Though divine figures like Rāma and Kṛṣṇa appeared, many fail to understand their stature. People create many idols, yet the one Bhagavān is not confined to a place. All beings, from trees to animals, are moving and will ultimately go to Bhagavān. A turn to meat-eating and alcohol represents a regression, tying one to lower realms and foreign influences. In our tradition, we do not eat animals; no being is harmed in the divine court. The physical body is temporary. When the soul departs, the body perishes but the ātman remains—one and the same, without labels of Hindu or Muslim. The subtle body's destination is unknown. One must educate the next generation correctly. Ultimately, we are servants devoted to the Lord, with no other refuge.
"They say, 'What will you do if you start eating meat and drinking alcohol?' This means, 'Go back, go with the insects.'"
"The ātman does not say, 'I am Hindu,' or 'I am Muslim'... The ātman is one and the same."

Water Is Life
4:45 - 5:02 (17 min)
Water is divine essence and life itself. Where water exists, divinity is present. It constitutes our physical form and emotional expressions, like tears of sorrow or joy. Without water, the body fails and disease follows. It flows within our nerves and blood. The ocean's salt is vital, and its evaporation forms clouds that bring rain, sustaining all life. Yogis harness this essence through breath. Human pollution has contaminated many water sources, yet nature's cycle continues to purify it. Our existence is fundamentally aqueous; every cell requires this stream. Life is inseparable from water.
"Where there is water, there is God. Where there is God, there is water."
"Water is life. Life is the water."

The Satguru is the supreme reality and the sole means to liberation. The true Guru is the very form of bliss and knowledge, transcending all duality and qualities. Devotion to the Guru is the essential practice. Perform the loving worship of the Satguru. The disciple's joy depends solely on the Guru's grace. One must never abandon the Guru, for the Guru is the living Sanātana Dharma. In this age, many falsely claim to be gurus without lineage. Do not lose connection to the mother, father, and Guru. Modern exercises called yoga are not the true path. The Guru's lineage is paramount.
"Full of bliss, bestowing supreme joy, the very form of knowledge, transcending duality... To that Sadguru, I bow."

Try to be nirmohi
11:30 - 12:06 (36 min)
The Earth suffers from human exploitation, and our food has been destroyed by the loss of natural seeds and chemical pollution. We have dug coal, diverted water, and injected chemicals, making the mother suffer. Seeds that once lasted for generations now must be bought anew, and our vegetables are tasteless and dangerous. Educated people have ruined everything. Many diseases arise from this corrupted food. Yet, some are returning to cultivate good seeds at home. We must detach from worldly attachments to move toward the Supreme. Attachment, or moha, is the heaviest obstacle to self-realization. Discipline and satsang are the paths to remove this attachment. A story of a detached king illustrates that true renunciation means no attachment, even to family. Our senses and mind constantly seek more, but we must direct the mind through satsang and wisdom to control attachment while in the body.
"Holy Gurujī used to say that Bhagavān Viṣṇu put seva and mokṣa in a scale. And the scale of seva was much heavier than mokṣa."
"Attachment will always be as long as we have this physical body, as long as the indriyas are active. There will always be. But we should know this: that we wake our wisdom to know and to decide."

Enjoy your life and be positive
12:10 - 12:58 (48 min)
Evening satsang with Vishwaguruji from Strilky Ashram, Czech Republic. We enjoy our bodies and our sadhana also. Here are very beautiful trees and we are like children of that trees. Our mother earth has beautiful hair which is the grass. To touch the earth without socks is very healthy. Think over what did we do on the last day. We can take a tilak to our forehead and eat a very little sweet. Sweet means speak and think sweet. Our eyes can't see each other. The story about brothers and sisters. Anuloma viloma pranayama balances our mind. Eyes are the sisters and the nostrils are the brothers. Enjoy your life and do and think good. Beauty comes from inside. be thankful for God to live your beautiful life.
Don't kill and understand everybody
13:05 - 13:58 (53 min)
The path is the journey of the individual soul back to the universal source. All beings are part of a cycle of consumption and rebirth. The human birth is a unique opportunity to transcend this cycle. The goal is to realize one's true nature as divine, beyond earthly identifications. This realization is the merging of the drop with the ocean. All religious paths are ultimately seeking this truth. The practices of yoga, including mantra and meditation, are tools for this inner journey. One must live ethically, causing no harm, and respect all life and teachers.
A teacher is anyone who provides knowledge, from a parent to a driving instructor. The ultimate Guru is the inner divine principle. Spiritual progress requires humility, as claiming perfection is a sign of incompletion. Practice diligently for health, concentration, and self-realization.
"All creatures are eating each other, killing each other. But it is said, you can say of God, Parabrahma, Paramatmā, that whatever you will see, we will come out of that."

Body and intellect
14:30 - 15:09 (39 min)
The body is our most important instrument, yet we must understand what it serves.
We possess a body but are not the body itself. This possession creates attachment, which is not inherently negative but becomes a burden when it causes suffering. The body is a fragile instrument governed by the senses. Ancient wisdom compares it to a chariot: the senses are the horses, the mind the reins, the intellect the driver, and the soul the passenger. The intellect, the driver, is crucial. It must learn to control the mind and senses through discrimination and experience to carry the soul safely. While we care for the body through yoga and healthy living, the ultimate goal is to discover the passenger within. Attachment to comfort is natural, but wisdom teaches us its outcomes without needing personal suffering. The aim is to establish a relationship with the inner self.
"Nothing is really important in life. Only one thing: look for the Self."
"The body itself is only an instrument."

The real disciple
15:15 - 15:54 (39 min)
The essence of Sanātana Dharma is Śaṅkarācārya, who restored truth from a young age. He sought to become a sannyāsī despite his mother's initial refusal, later fulfilling his promise to perform her funeral rites against convention. He established four monasteries across India, providing different spiritual paths for different natures. Becoming a true disciple requires immense dedication, as illustrated by the tale of Upamanyu. The young boy endured severe tests from his guru, including starvation, blindness, and falling into a well, yet maintained his devotion. His unwavering faith ultimately invoked divine vision and strength. Modern disciples often lack such steadfastness, distracted by the temptations of the current age.
"Mother, I will be there for you, but I must also go forth to restore reality and truth."
"Gurudev, I cannot eat without first offering food to someone."

The Nabhi
18:00 - 18:55 (55 min)
The many paths of yoga converge like rivers into one ocean. Respect all ways of practice. The science of yoga is vast, yet we must understand our own body. The navel, or Nābhi, is the root. A problem there affects the whole system. To progress, one must bring the body under control through proper diet and awareness. Overweight individuals should eat lightly, focusing on salads and seeds, to achieve balance over time. Practice feeling the movement and vibration at the navel. This awareness is the foundation for meditation and self-knowledge. True practice begins from this root, balancing the physical to access deeper states. The sound of OM originates from the navel, rising through the channels to the crown. Balance in the body leads to balance in consciousness.
"Yoga is yoga, but which kind of yoga? It is like this gathering: some have come from the East, some from the West, and all who have come via different paths have seen many different things."
"The navel is the root. Everything is there. When there is a problem with the navel, the whole body will die."

A Divine Call and the Search for a True Guru
19:35 - 20:23 (48 min)
A divine call initiates the search for a true guru. A vision of Śrī Kṛṣṇa repeatedly requests kheer, compelling its preparation for a visiting saint's gathering. At that satsaṅg, the saint addresses a devotee by name, revealing profound awareness. When asked if one has a guru, the answer emerges from the heart: one is seeking a true guru. Following given addresses leads to an ashram in India. There, a phrase is heard in sleep: "There is nothing in the jīva, but go to the nitya." Travel continues to another ashram to meet the holy guru. An overwhelming energy is received upon meeting. A book is offered, and through grace, the ability to read Hindi is granted. Mantra-dīkṣā is received on a Thursday after offering fruit. Disregarding advice on travel days leads to immediate difficulties, demonstrating the importance of the guru's word. Returning home brings incessant tears and a longing for the ashram. The guru's loving permission allows return. Translations of sacred texts are undertaken as service, a gift enabled by the guru. Further travels and stays in ashrams follow, filled with divine experiences, protective grace, and deep seva. The guru's presence is ultimately felt permanently within the heart.
"Have you got a guru? I have not got a guru, but I am looking for a true guru."
"For a daughter to come to the father’s house, you don’t even have to get any permission. You can come whenever you want to come."

Vegetarian kitchen in praxis (part 1)
21:04 - 21:57 (53 min)
Vegetarianism is presented as the optimal path for health, mental performance, and planetary survival. Animal foods lack protective antioxidants and amplify environmental toxins. Cooking meat creates harmful free radicals. Dairy consumption correlates with higher osteoporosis rates, a calcium paradox. Scientific consensus now confirms plant proteins are sufficiently digestible, even for children, eliminating past concerns. The average protein intake greatly exceeds requirements; plant sources alone provide adequacy.
Practical cooking focuses on making vegetarian food appealing using familiar spices and meat substitutes. Smoked tofu can replace smoked meats in dishes. Seitan, made from wheat gluten, can be prepared as strips or rolls to provide a expected "piece of meat" on the plate. For flavor, fry tofu or seitan to create a crust, then marinate in sauces like tomato with herbs or ginger with soy sauce. Dry-roasting spices in oil unlocks their flavor. Pressing tofu removes water for better flavor absorption. Boiling dry soy chunks removes bitter oligosaccharides before use.
"Foods of animal origin do not contain antioxidants."
"The actual protein requirement is about 50 grams. If we excluded all animal foods and ate only plant-based, we would still receive sufficient protein."

22:00 - 23:06 (66 min)
The true Guru and true fellowship are the sole support for the soul. Without them, the life force departs, wandering aimlessly. The world and the ocean offer no refuge. The mind, left to its own devices, knows nothing and achieves nothing. Only through this divine connection is there blessing and grace. The tradition is honored from Sadāśiva through Śaṅkarācārya to the present teachers. The ultimate state is attained not by ritual, progeny, or wealth, but by renunciation and the knowledge of Vedānta.

Protect Mother Earth
23:10 - 0:03 (53 min)
A prayer for the protection of Mother Earth.
Humans have destroyed the Earth by extracting oil, coal, and minerals, breaking her body. Mother Earth provides for all creatures, from ants to elephants, yet we live improperly and are often ill. The current age brings pandemics, war, and environmental turmoil. We must act now to protect all life and not kill the Mother. Previous generations respected the Earth, but now knowledge is lost. Do not waste food or water, for they are divine gifts and life itself. Throwing them away is a sin. Live happily and peacefully, keeping the inner light alive, and uplift others through prayer and mantra.
"From the little ant to the elephant, who is feeding them? Not us—Mother Earth."
"Throwing away food is a sin—a sin to destroy food."
