The origin of life and the path of dharma are revealed through ancient wisdom. In the beginning, there was only water. The gods decided to create the earth, which was brought forth from the ocean. Life emerged from the waters, with creatures evolving and moving onto land. The principle of existence was established: all living beings sustain themselves by consuming other life. This is the natural law. From this state, humans were created. With humanity came the knowledge of dharma and adharma. Dharma is to live spiritually, to care for all and avoid killing. Adharma is to live like animals, consuming without conscience, which bars the path to the divine. The human form and consciousness ultimately originate from the divine source, symbolized by the navel of Vishnu and the emerging lotus. One must not depend on others but become self-reliant, as God provides everything. Practice sādhanā, see all as equal, and live without harming others. The science of yoga is the science of body, mind, and consciousness. Yoga is the eternal balancing principle in the universe, not a religion or dogma. The cosmic vibration, declared as OM, exists within and outside us. Human life is a precious chance within the cycle of rebirth. The human intellect can be trained endlessly, and dormant abilities within are connected to the cakras, or energy centers. The subtle body has 72,000 nāḍīs, or channels, for transmitting consciousness and energy. The mind functions between the subconscious and conscious, taking in impressions that become desires. The intellect's duty is to give judgment. We normally experience three levels of consciousness: waking, dream, and deep sleep. Past deeds create our destiny, or prārabdha karma. The Kuṇḍalinī energy and the cakra system are responsible for developing consciousness and freeing it from subconscious fears. The major nāḍīs are Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Suṣumṇā, balancing emotion and intellect. Haṭha Yoga unites these sympathetic and parasympathetic principles. The awakening of Kuṇḍalinī is a divine process of becoming wise and calm, not a physical sensation. The cakras are located along the spinal column and are psychic energy centers. They are connected to the five elements and influence the body. Mastery leads towards liberation, the union of individual consciousness with cosmic consciousness. Dharma is one's essential duty. Each person has a specific role. The neighbor's path often seems easier, but shortcuts can lead to longer journeys. A sage repeatedly saved a drowning scorpion, accepting its stings. The sage's dharma was compassion; the scorpion's dharma was to sting. Both were performing their nature. Similarly, persist in your own duty without giving up, regardless of setbacks. Do not envy another's path. The story of Nārada teaches that ego leads to misunderstanding. He sought a form for personal desire and was taught a lesson. Reduce the "I" and learn from mistakes. Do not blame others or God. Follow your own heart with your guru's guidance and give your full dedication. "My dharma as a sannyāsī is compassion to every single living being. The path is to be present, letting go of past and future. You have practiced and received knowledge. Our way is to be relaxed and normal, not straining or focusing oddly. What we seek is to know the Self. We follow a given path but must understand it ourselves. We are human with knowledge, yet we do not know what comes after this life. Do not dwell on the past; it is gone like an exhale. We often live in memories or future thoughts, not in the present. Suffering in the present will not last. The common view focuses only on vitamins and minerals, neglecting mental and psychic needs. The example of those living on prāṇa demonstrates that most energy does not come from food. The body can transform environmental energy directly. Therefore, one needs less food and more prāṇa. Individualization is key; eat only what the body signals it needs. This turns eating into a tool for self-knowledge. Mindful eating, concentrating solely on the food and its journey, allows the body to signal satiety accurately. Quality is vital; reduce animal products significantly for health and environmental reasons. Process foods properly, like soaking lentils, to enhance vitality and remove antinutrients. Rely on your body's perception to navigate modern food complexities, as it is the most reliable guide.
