Karma and liberation

8:15 - 8:51|Recorded on 19 Aug 2018
The grandparents of the forest teach us about karma and the world's balance. Vegetation is essential for life, and ancient trees are loving grandparents. Good karma from non-violence leads to Svarga Loka, a temporary heaven. Bad karma from harming creatures leads to Naraka Loka. Liberation comes only through the guru's grace. Human actions are destroying the earth's equilibrium. Digging for resources creates hollow spaces and allows water in, making the planet unstable. This invites cataclysm where all will be lost. Spiritual people may depart beforehand. One must cease harming all creatures, including animals, and live with prayer and non-violence to alter this course. "Good karma that you didn’t eat meat, you didn’t kill any animals, you didn’t kill any humans. Then you come to the heaven." "Eating meat, you have to pay back. That’s it." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Awakening within a human body

8:55 - 9:52 | From: 1 Dec 2008
The heart is central to spiritual development and the awakening of divine joy through Kundalini. Destiny is the fruit of karma; every situation has meaning. Face destiny to be free from it. The heart feels everything quicker than the intellect. A divine light resides within it, the light of the Ātmā. Every creature with a heart carries God's manifestation. Negative energy produces desires and fear, while desirelessness brings true happiness and richness. This body is a wondrous creation where God resides and speaks. No heart is empty of the divine presence. Harsh words wound the heart, and only love and mantra can heal it. When Kundalini awakens and touches the heart, it overflows with devotion and happiness, leading to bhāva samādhi. This state is the highest joy and a healing process for the body. Understanding the meaning of words in prayer or song allows them to penetrate the consciousness and induce this samādhi. Sound, light, and energy from mantras have a healing effect, traveling through the nāḍīs to awaken divine love. "When there is a problem, everyone remembers God." "The happiest and richest person is one who has no desires, neither physically nor materially." Filming location: Vép, Hungary DVD 502

Discipline in Yoga

10:55 - 11:27 | From: 9 Jul 2017
The discipline of yoga begins now. The first instruction is to apply discipline immediately, not tomorrow. Success in any endeavor requires following rules and control. The body and mind must be trained through awareness of their systems and impurities. Laziness is the enemy. Physical and mental impurities, or vikāras, such as disease, anger, and ego, will destroy spiritual practice. The body is a divine creation that must be purified. Without controlling the mind's tendencies, one remains bound. Practice requires unwavering commitment without compromise. "Atha means just now, not tomorrow." "If you don’t follow the discipline, then you will not be successful."

Become a gyan murti

19:05 - 20:13 | From 1 Aug 2008
The personal mantra is the essential thread of spiritual practice. Mantra is the thread that holds all spiritual pearls together; without it, they scatter. It is the breath and soul of practice, a torchlight in darkness. Spiritual awakening begins with an inner thirst, leading one to practice. Initial confusion gives way to relaxation and growing interest in deeper practices. However, comparing teachings or oneself to idealized figures creates conflict and loss of confidence. Ancient stories and knowledge provide timeless evidence and motivation; they are ever-young. Jñāna Yoga is the yoga of wisdom and self-knowledge, but without realization, one remains in imagination. Its four principles are viveka (discrimination), vairāgya (dispassion), the sixfold treasure (śama, dama, etc.), and mumukṣutva (the desire for liberation). Viveka discerns reality from unreality. Vairāgya renders all worldly enjoyments tasteless. Realizing the inner treasures brings true richness. The sincere aspirant seeks freedom from worldly troubles. This practice leads the soul to liberation. "Mantra is like a thread in this mālā. It is that thread which keeps all the pearls together." "Brahmanandam param sukhadam kevalam jñānamūrtim. The supreme bliss is a form of knowledge only." Filming location: Vép, Hungary DVD 478
