Preparation for advanced postures

3:05 - 4:00|Recorded on 9 Jul 2016
Preparing the body and mind is essential for Kriyānuṣṭhāna. Discipline is required, not all must perform advanced postures like a handstand. A foundational requirement is the ability to sit motionless for a minimum of one hour, cultivating kāya-sthairyam for a steady mind. Physical preparation over a year is needed, focusing on postures like the half and full butterfly to increase flexibility in the hamstrings and hips. Practice must be done correctly, prioritizing the quality of movement over quantity. The goal is to coordinate body and breath, leading to awareness and inner experience. Yoga integrates body, breath, and mind for peace and harmony. "Now yoga begins with anuśāsanam, which means discipline. No discipline, no success." "Our mind is like water in our body. When you move your body, your mind also moves." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Become a gyan murti

4:05 - 5:13 | From: 1 Aug 2008
The personal mantra is the essential thread of spiritual practice. Mantra is the thread that holds all spiritual pearls together; without it, they scatter. It is the breath and soul of practice, a torchlight in darkness. Spiritual awakening begins with an inner thirst, leading one to practice. Initial confusion gives way to relaxation and growing interest in deeper practices. However, comparing teachings or oneself to idealized figures creates conflict and loss of confidence. Ancient stories and knowledge provide timeless evidence and motivation; they are ever-young. Jñāna Yoga is the yoga of wisdom and self-knowledge, but without realization, one remains in imagination. Its four principles are viveka (discrimination), vairāgya (dispassion), the sixfold treasure (śama, dama, etc.), and mumukṣutva (the desire for liberation). Viveka discerns reality from unreality. Vairāgya renders all worldly enjoyments tasteless. Realizing the inner treasures brings true richness. The sincere aspirant seeks freedom from worldly troubles. This practice leads the soul to liberation. "Mantra is like a thread in this mālā. It is that thread which keeps all the pearls together." "Brahmanandam param sukhadam kevalam jñānamūrtim. The supreme bliss is a form of knowledge only." Filming location: Vép, Hungary DVD 478

Awakening of real kundalini

5:20 - 6:29 | From: 1 Aug 2008
Kuṇḍalinī Śakti is the universal energy present in every atom of the cosmos, inseparable from universal consciousness. This divine energy animates all existence, from stars to every creature. Within each being, it manifests as the vital force flowing through 72,000 channels, with major energy centers called cakras. A genuine awakening brings profound harmony, happiness, and balance to body and mind. Misguided techniques produce only physical symptoms, not true awakening. This energy can guide one toward higher awareness or toward negative states like anger, depending on the environment and one's discipline. Faithful practice, mantra, and positive company purify and direct this energy. The goal is a balanced union of cosmic energy and cosmic consciousness within. "Śiva and Śakti are not understood in terms of physical form, nor in the sense of male-female attraction, but as pure consciousness and pure energy." "The awakening of the Kuṇḍalinī is like a beautiful, pleasant, harmonious, steady feeling." Filming location: Vép, Hungary DVD 475

Morning Yoga practice, Umag, Croatia (6/9)

8:00 - 9:56 | From: 30 Sep 2010
A guided practice integrates relaxation, breath awareness, and physical postures. Begin by relaxing the entire body and observing the natural breath without influence. Gently deepen the inhalation, allowing exhalation to happen automatically, imagining the body expanding and contracting with each breath. Use the exhalation to dispel any tension. Inhale light to purify and nourish the body and mind; exhale all unwanted qualities. Feel this light surrounding the body, then focus it at the heart center. Reside there, observing and allowing the heart to open. Let this light spread through the entire being and beyond. Practice Agnisāra Kriyā and Nauli to purify and strengthen the vital energies. Perform āsanas with correct alignment, focusing on relaxation and the breath. Practice Viparītakaraṇī Mudrā to harmonize the glandular system. Sit with a straight spine for prāṇāyāma, such as Nāḍī Śodhana, maintaining a gentle, loving breath without force. Chant Oṁ and conclude with complete relaxation. "With inhalation, inhale light. With exhalation, you dispel all the used energy, all tension, all your unwanted qualities." "All the time, be aware of the Guru Gītā. If we force the prāṇa, we will not gain anything, only maybe illnesses." Filming location: Umag, Croatia

Do not limit Your love

13:00 - 14:03 | From 1 Aug 2008
Practice is paramount, and the path is love. A gram of practice outweighs a ton of theory. Laziness and distraction lead humanity astray, mistaking material and economic achievements for true fulfillment. The world has lost its spiritual direction, chasing money as the god of this age. True spirituality, or Sanātana Dharma, leads to the Divine without discrimination of religion, culture, or nation, and does not go against nature. Renunciation and discipline are required. The aim is to cultivate positive thoughts for the benefit of all, not for oneself. When a third, divisive element enters between two, harmony is destroyed. The planet survives on love; hate creates an internal battlefield. Life is love, evident in every breath. Limited love, like a cup of water, is exhaustible. Universal love is endless and does not require demonstration. It is felt, not shown. The ultimate remedy for the world is this boundless love. "Mother Nature has enough for everyone’s need, but not for their greed." "Love you cannot hide, love makes light." Filming location: Vép, Hungary DVD 476
