Everybody, say peace! I am Sri Lansi, Ambassador of India, representative of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia, the Vice Mayor of the city, and all the citizens and dear brothers and sisters. This tree is a World Peace Tree. Today, on the Day of Non-Violence, this tree will tell us, "Please save me, protect us." The tree is our life. Life is the tree. When there will be no tree, there will be no life in the world. Thank you for offering such a beautiful city square for such a beautiful tree. It is a great honor. Thank you very, very much. I will chant some mantras and initiate the tree. Many of you know the piece, the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya Mantra. Please chant with me. Oṁ Tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt. Oṁ Tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt. Om tryambha kandhya yama eṣu kandhikus śivaraṇa ūrdhva adu kandhya vandhra kāṁsi śivam śivam hṛta. Oṁ Tryambakaṁ yajāmahe sugandhiṁ puṣṭi-vardhanam, urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt. Śivaṁ, Śivaṁ, Hṛdayaṁ. Thank you all. I wish you the best: lots of peace, harmony, love, and understanding. Those who will come near this tree and sit here and repeat a wish, your wish will be fulfilled. That is why I bless this tree with the fulfillment of your peace and your wishes. Deeper Bhagavān, we pray. The President has supported and given his support to the marking of the Day of Non-Violence, announced by the United Nations on the 2nd of October. His message is that every spiritual initiative that promotes peace, non-violence, tolerance, and understanding is welcome in our country. Thank you.
