Satsaṅg on Nāḍī Yoga, Cakra, and Kuṇḍalinī

The subject is Nāḍī Yoga, Cakra, and Kuṇḍalinī, focusing on the seat of sound, the universal navel. The Maṇipūra Cakra is the primary center where light and sound first concentrated, before organ development. The body is tuned to resonance, combining cosmic Śakti as energy, cosmic consciousness as light, and cosmic resonance as sound. Energy flows through Iḍā, light through Piṅgalā, resonance through Suṣumṇā, connecting to the inner self. Fifty-two protective sound-energies guard the physical and mental body, linked to the alphabet and cakras. From the navel center, energy, sound, and light spread throughout, awakened by kriyā practice. Practice reveals internal sounds—blood circulation, heart, intestines, then the ten senses—signifying astral inner travel. Karma creates destiny; fear only karma, correct mistakes without hesitation.

"Energy, light, and resonance. And these three are stored or have their place in the navel."

"Our entire existence is nothing other than sound."

Part 1: Satsaṅg on Nāḍī Yoga, Cakra, and Kuṇḍalinī Satsaṅg with Gurujī. Satsaṅg with Gurujī... Śabdhaan se, sabadhi sanayi mere jayaan. You should show everybody, not only him, Guru Mukhi, but you do nothing. Not only a particular person. Oṁ Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavāne Kī Jaya, Śrī Svāmī Śivānandjī Mahārāj Kī Jaya. So, good morning to everybody. How are you today? No answer is also an answer. Anyhow, I wish that you will be better. Our subject is Nāḍī Yoga, Cakra, and Kuṇḍalinī. We continue with the seat of the sound, the center of the universe, that’s called the universal navel. And if you know, then you are the liberated one. And if you don’t know, you should know. The practice of yoga and the dead life and Nāḍī Yoga. In our body, we have the main center, the chakra, the head of all is the Maṇipūra Chakra. First was created in the physical body, the Maṇipūra Chakra. It means the light and the sound. Light and sound were concentrated on one point. And that was the Maṇipūra Chakra. After that, all different systems developed in the body. Different organs, nerves, muscles, and so on. Now, our whole body is tuned to a beautiful sound. The resonance. And it is that resonance which leads our body from place to place. The sound, the light, and the energy. Now the three come together. So the energy is that cosmic Śakti. The light is that cosmic consciousness, and the sound is the cosmic resonance. This enables a creature to move and to come to the aim, to the destination. Doesn’t matter what kind of destination you have. Without light, you can’t find the way. Light means not this physical light. It’s a light of wisdom, a light of intuition. A light which is guiding you inwardly. Maybe through the senses, meaning through the smell, or through the sound, and so on. That is the light meant. Enlightenment means not that you will see this physical light. Enlightenment means wisdom. That everything is clear to you. When you, for example, lose something, your valuable document, you don’t know where it is. It means you are in ignorance; it means we don’t know where it is. So this is a darkness. You are searching everywhere. You don’t find. Then you go to your sleeping room, and you make your bed, and you find the document under your pillow. Now you’ve got the knowledge, and now you know what it is and where it is. The ignorance disappeared, that ignorance which made you maybe unhappy. Maybe nervous or angry. That again, you have to make your documents; it creates more work. It was the ignorance. Darkness means ignorance. Ignorance means that darkness which we do not know. Enlightenment is the knowledge. Now you know where your document is. You don’t see the light like this now. We don’t know about God, we don’t know the purpose of life, we are searching for everything, we are even searching for ourselves, we are searching for where we are, who we are, where the peace is within ourselves, where contentment is within ourselves. Where is the happiness within ourselves? Also, we know that within us there are negative qualities too. You may call it anger, you may call it jealousy. If we know, we can take it away. And if we know, we can develop more, so it means in the ignorance. So ignorance is the darkness, and knowledge is the light. Now, with this light of the knowledge, we have that energy, cosmic energy. Energy is produced through that resonance, cosmic resonance. That resonance, which we call the cosmic resonance, the OṂ. And so, energy, light, and resonance. Now, that resonance we can develop also physically. This is physical, meaning chanting our mantra, chanting some songs, bhajans, or instruments. This is a physical sound. But if the sound is in harmony, then it awakens inner positive energy. If the sound is more aggressive, restless, or rajasika, then it influences energy differently. So energy, sound, and light. And these three are stored or have their place in the navel. Energy comes to the Iḍā, the light comes to the Piṅgalā, and the resonance comes to the Suṣumṇā. So these three nāḍīs are connecting our self to our inner self. So Kriya Yoga, which is a very powerful technique, now which Kriya? There are many, many kriyās in the world, many, many. So you cannot say which Kriya. Every Kriya is very powerful. Every student, every practitioner who got experiences, who got enlightenment, who came to the realization, had a particular technique. And you have to be faithful to this technique, not only for a few years. It is lifelong. This body is given to you for physical life. So, this is a lifelong body on this planet. Now you have to be in this body, and you don’t want to give up this body, because the body has become part of your existence, the body has become a part of your identity, the body has become a part of your instrument, this body has become your house, and you don’t know. Anything more than this, and that’s why you would like to keep the body, because we are afraid of what will happen to us, where we will be, and which kind of karma will come. Where will destiny lead us? What will be, and what will be with all these things? With hard work, without rest, day and night, trying very hard with everything. Sometimes to lie—a businessman lies, it is said psychologically. Minimum 250 times a businessman lies per day to sell the goods. That’s life, that’s business. You get in one crown. And you want to sell it for five crowns. And you know, to sell it for five crowns, you have to lie. You don’t want to give in one crown. Because you know that you also must earn. You also must have something; you must also live. So to live, you have to lie. That’s the problem. One man was against medicine, allopathic medicine, and against doctors. It was not nice of him. We should never be against anyone. We should never be against any medicine. You know, allopathic medicine has done great research. And in an emergency, you will know what this medicine means. It can save your life, and other medicines are also very good. Because you didn’t get some relief through this medicine, and you are against. But a law that you are against does not mean the whole system is bad. But there are some people who are angry with the doctors. And thanks to God, doctors are never angry. The doctor knows this is the ignorance of this person. The doctor says it is my dharma to help. It doesn’t matter which kind of doctor it is: allopathic, homeopathic, ayurvedic, naturopathic, and so on. The man was against the doctor, and he had one friend. And the friend was not against it. Can you imagine gossiping? Whenever he made it, he was talking with his other friend, who was a positive one. He said, "Terrible. Doctors are terrible." A whole pharmacy system is very terrible, only commercial, putting blackmail. So, who is gossiping? What will be? Frog. And who is listening? What will be? Snake. That’s it. So if someone is talking about something which is not divine in your principle, you should not listen. Otherwise, you will also become a snake, though you are not a guilty one. But someone gave you negative feedback, blackmailing. So we can say poisonous mailing. Surprisingly, the man who was always talking against doctors and medicines went to the doctor. And he was very well known to doctors, that this is a person who doesn’t like doctors. So the doctor was happy and made a photo. And he spoke something with the doctor, and the doctor wrote a prescription. What medicine should he take? He said, "Thank you." Now he went to the chemist, and he bought some medicine. Small village, everyone knows everyone. And people were surprised that he was going to buy medicine. He said often, "Even if I die, don’t give me medicine." Don’t let the doctor touch my body. There are fixed ideas. So, the people who were working in this chemistry shop also made a photo while taking the medicine in hand as evidence. Evidence will never die, and he went to his friend and told him. The friend was surprised. The doctor cost him money. Medicine cost him money, and they went for a walk. So they were walking, and there was a small bridge over the river. And they were walking over the bridge, and that man, a negative man, he took the medicine, opened it, and threw it in the river. The other one said, "You must be crazy. I don’t understand." He said, "Why? You are so against the doctors and medicines." Why did you go to the doctor? Because the doctor must leave. From something, in this way, I am positive. Then why did you buy the medicine? Because the pharmacy and people should also live. Then why don’t you take this medicine? Why did you throw it away? I also want to live. That’s it. So, sometimes in life, the lie and the truth go parallel. But everything is counted. Therefore, in our life, negative energy creates negative vibrations in the body. And these three are very important: energy, light, and sound are located in our navel center, the Maṇipūra Cakra. Now we come to different parts of the body. Imagine your country, the map of your country. I hope you know the map, and you know which countries are connecting to your border. And you know what the map looks like. So every country has its border. And your border is guarded by your military force. The Border Security Force. I think every country has this. There is no country existing which does not have a security force. In Kali Yuga, unfortunately. Similarly, for 8.4 million different creatures. Who is existing in this endless universe in physical form? Plus, individually now, 8.4 million are only different forms, but how many are they all? We cannot count anymore. Now, there are two different worlds existing: the physical world and the astral world. So, for your soul, for your real self, who is a victim of destiny, who is a victim of birth, who will be a victim of death, who will exist individually on this planet or in the astral world. So these are two worlds, physical and astral. Feelings, understandings, everything that we have in the physical body, we will have in the astral world too. If you don’t believe in life after birth, or life after death, then why are you talking about heaven? Who is coming to heaven? Or why are you talking about paradise? Who is coming there? Or why are you talking about nirvāṇa? Karma, Destiny, and the Inner Symphony: A Discourse on the Astral Body and the 52 Protective Energies Who goes to what we call Svarga? It means that after this physical body, the individual still exists. In this physical world we can act, create karma, and our actions bear fruits—reactions. For example, if you are locked in a room, you can knock on the door or call out, “Please help me,” and someone will hear and come to help you out. But after leaving the physical body, in the astral realm, you can knock as much as you like—there is no one to listen. You could even knock on the chest of your sleeping wife in your astral body, but there is no effect. No effect at all. It is thus very clear: every individual, human or otherwise, has a destiny, and destiny leads you. All the tricks you played, all the negativity you created, every way you tried to be clever in the wrong manner—you will suffer a thousand times more for it. Do not be afraid—never, of anyone. Do not be scared. But of one thing you should be afraid: karma. Physical karma, mental karma, verbal karma—whether through social position, thought, or intellect. That is all. So if you take care now, you will be more comfortable in this life, and a thousand times more comfortable somewhere else. Again, sound, energy, and resonance—all these are invisible. And that invisible part is your astral body, which will lead you there. Now, how many creatures, how many billions upon billions, exist in physical form right now? And how many times more exist in the astral? We do not know. Each physical creature is like a country—a phenomenon, a house with its own territory. And this territory is guarded by cosmic power, energy. No creature is left unguarded. It is they who watch over you, ensuring that you remain an individual until you attain that knowledge, self-realization, where you merge into the Universal One. At that time, your existence becomes universal existence. Thus it is said that when the human body—or a human being—was created, many, many powers were involved, whatever you may call them. How did it come about that a human has such great energy and authority? You know, a clerk in a small office has limited rights, but the president has almost all rights. In the same way, humans have been given rights—but for protection, not misuse; not to misguide others, and not to act negatively toward others. Nara Nārāyaṇa—through the human, you can become God. That is why you received these powers. Now, the human being—this potential God—is endowed with 52 different extra powers of resonance. These guard human existence—not your social life, not your house, not your work or this and that, but purely this human model and what lies within it. These 52 kinds of energy are protective. They are energy consisting of sound, light, and energy. And they guard the territory of your physical body and your mental body. If you are dying, you cannot see heaven. You can talk about it and imagine many things, but to know exactly what heaven is, you have to die. And if after death you do not see heaven, that is your problem. So do not die just to see heaven. Instead, understand that these 52 different sound channels—you may call them devas or goddesses. In Sanskrit or Hindi, devas are not like humans. What we call God, Incarnation, Devas and Asuras—the holy and the satans—are not like human beings, you see. We call fire Agni; so fire is a god. Fire is divine. Vāyu Deva—air is divine. All five elements, the holy earth, the mother earth. Similarly, there are many other elements, tattvas. That means there are many different aspects, but God is only one. There are many manifestations. You have only one. Your ātmā. Your ātmā represents the Universal One. But as a soul, the Jīvātmā, you are an individual. And an individual has this destiny: to face destiny in this world and to face destiny in the other world. How will it be? Only you know. Do not ask me, “Swāmījī, what will be my destiny?” Did you ever ask me before thinking something? Did you ask me before drinking water, “Can I drink water?” Did you ask me if you could turn left or right? Everything you do is your karma, and you know that. Do not ask anyone. “God, what will happen to me?” God says, “You know better.” That’s it. So do not hide from yourself. And still, it is not too late. You can begin to do something better. Sometimes it is painful for this stupid intellect to admit, “No, I cannot go back.” There was a man born in Maribor, in Slovenia, part of former Yugoslavia, right after the Second World War. They had a son about ten years old. One day the boy went to the neighbor’s garden and stole some maize. He came back and gave it to his grandmother. “Grandmother, I would like to eat corn today.” Grandmother said, “Yes, my son. But where did you get it?” He said, “I stole it.” Grandmother said, “Alright. Take it back to that man. Go back and tell him you stole it.” And so he went. The gardener said, “Oh, my boy, it doesn’t matter. Take it home and eat. Next time you need more, come to me, and I will give it to you.” He came home happily, and his grandmother asked, “How did it go?” He told her, and from this we learn: never be afraid to correct your mistake. You should go and surrender; your ego is too strong. If you say, “No, I will not go,” then you will have to face more pain. So, it is never too late to begin to correct your life and say to your friends, “I’m sorry. Forgive me. Out of my ignorance and my ego, I neglected you or did something wrong.” Every karma will have a reaction, and thus destiny will lead your astral body. And there is always sound, light, and energy. Thus, within the human body, the 52 strong channels are protective energy—protective sound and protective energy. And all 52 guard our cakras. Every cakra is designed like a lotus, and is called a very gentle resonance—resonance, light, and energy. And these sounds, yogīs—perhaps Lord Śiva—in meditation, saw the forms. And they put them down as what we call the Devanāgarī alphabet. Deva means goddess, Nāgarik means citizens; thus these divine energies, citizens of the divine world, are guarding and protecting your existence, this planet, and wherever you will be in the future. Now, these 52 different channels observe, guide, protect, and care for your well-being. Therefore, of the major eight cakras that we often speak about—there are thousands of centers in the body—the major ones are these eight. And from these eight cakras, everything is guided and directed by one center: Nābhi Kamala. From the Nābhi Kamala, the energy, sound, and light are spread throughout the body. When you begin to do some kriyā—perhaps simply repeating your mantra, that is also a kriyā, or you do only kṛtak every day, or certain prāṇāyāma, or a daily kriyā given by your master, a combination of bandhas, mudrās, mantras, concentrations, sound, and light—after many, many years, all these techniques you are practicing concentrate directly on the Maṇipūra Cakra, and they purify and awaken three very important principles: sound, light, and energy. And this can also be awakened through Nāḍī Yoga. Our entire existence is nothing other than sound. Imagine a bee flying—we see a bee, but that bee is only a sound. You do not really see the bee. Similarly, you are only a sound. Now, that sound may be balanced or imbalanced, depending. So, within the sound-energy-light, each blood cell has thousands of different sounds. Can you imagine how many blood cells we have, how many systems—what a big hurricane we are? A very big hurricane. When a human dies, that sound, that God, expands into the whole universe, probably. And destiny says, “Go this way, go that way.” There are some nice pictures, but I don’t want to show you. So, out of all this, these light, energy, and sound—or resonance—first of all guide our senses. Five karmendriyas and five jñānendriyas—the senses are extremely important for our existence. These five jñānendriyas and five karmendriyas are connected to those sounds. And the governor of these ten indriyas is the mind. Mind is also sound, light, and energy. So, when you begin to concentrate and practice Nāḍī Yoga, first you will encounter ten different kinds of sounds—sounds from each indriya, each sense. Of course, there are sounds of the blood circulation. You hear it like a waterfall, or like the waves of the ocean. If you go near the ocean and sleep at night, even from a kilometer away, you hear the sound of the waves. Or like a train locomotive, you hear a rumbling sound… Waterfall, the sea. All this is connected with our blood circulation. It is good, not bad. Then you begin to hear the sound of your heart, the pulse. Then you hear the sound of your intestines, and also the functions of the liquids and blood in the kidneys. This means you begin your astral traveling within the body. It is beautiful, it is endless. You will not find an end, even though the body is only this big. When you dive within yourself, it is endless and beautiful—sometimes terrifying. Then afterward, you come to the ten senses. When you reach the ten senses, it is like entering kindergarten with all its puzzles, so many different things—the five senses of action and five senses of knowledge, as you know. So you will now hear ten sounds. Yes, now somehow your train is coming onto the rails. And after these ten sounds comes another sound. We will talk about this this evening. So, what I have told you, listen to it again carefully, do manana—reflection. You will now have 45 minutes of meditation with your mantra, without guidance. Whatever I have spoken, repeat it in your meditation while repeating your mantra, and I will be with you this evening. The evening program is scheduled for 6:30. Since it is winter, sunset is very early, so the program will begin at 6:30. I wish you very good rest and very good meditation. Do not go in and out. If you do not wish to meditate, then go outside now and do not come back in until 6:30. Śrī Dīpa Nārāyaṇa Bhagavān, Kī Deveśvara Mahādeva, Kī Mādhava Kṛṣṇa Bhagavān, Kī Sanātana
