Everything is yoga

The oneness of all existence is the core truth; yoga is the means to realize this.

The same soul dwells in all creatures, from humans to ants. The body is needed but is not the self. The divine created 8.4 million life forms. A drop from the ocean is ocean; falling back, it becomes the whole. Do not boast of being human. Liberation’s door is one for every being—ant or elephant. That door leads beyond temporary heavens and hells. Shiva, without father or mother, gave the eternal dharma. Humans make religions, yet there is only one God. Knowing oneness, one ceases to kill. Yoga comes from Shiva, with 84 asanas. Now, many make it just pleasant exercise. The living guru is not the physical form but the inner essence. The guru-lineage flows from the ever-present Saptaṛṣis. True yoga is controlling space and consciousness, manifesting Shiva. Ultimately, every action—cooking, cleaning—is yoga.

"Even an ant will go through that door, the same one door."

"Yoga simply means what we are doing. That is it."

Śrī Alakhpurījī Mahādeva Kī Jai, Śivadhī Deva, Dev Purīṣa Mahādeva Kī Jai. Dev Purīṣa Mahādeva, Bhagavān Dīp Nārāyaṇa Mahāprabhujī Kī Jai. Good evening, dear sisters and brothers, in all the yoga centers, and in yoga and daily life around the whole world. And also to all yoga centers, yoga schools, yoga ashrams, and the many who are practicing this, I say to them, “Oṃ Namo Nārāyaṇa.” Also, for those in the whole world who are on the path of spirituality, I offer my worship. There are many practices. The physical body is not all that is, but without the body, nothing can be accomplished. Therefore, God has created 8.4 million different kinds of creatures—the fish, all aquatic animals, water creatures, birds, and so forth. Many, many creatures, but they are all divine; God has made them. Whether it is a human or a little ant, the jīvā is the same. The ocean, as we know, is vast. The ocean is upon the earth, but if one drop of water rises from anywhere, it is also the ocean. And when we take a drop of water in our palm and hold it above the ocean, when that drop falls into the ocean, there is no more drop—it becomes the whole ocean. O humans, do not be so proud that we are human and can do everything. Of course we can do many things, but what truly matters? It is not easy. One thinks, “Okay, we are human, we have different religions or this and that.” But that is nothing. There are two paths in one, so it is only one door. And that door will not discriminate, saying, “Bring the Hindus, bring the Muslims, bring them—or the cows, or the buffaloes, elephants, etc.” No. Even an ant will go through that door, the same one door. And humans are also on that same path. After that, automatically, those who are going towards the ocean, whether through humans or other forms, that is what the Brahmalokas are—what some call heaven and hell, meaning the duality of existence. So that will come and go. Also, many Hindus say that they go to heaven, but they will come back. But in Sanātana Dharma, Śiva—Śiva has no father, no mother, no brothers, no sisters, yet he exists, and he gave this dharma to all, and therefore, Śiva is supreme. Now, many people talk about this and that: Satyayuga, Dvāparayuga, Tretāyuga. In the course of these Yugas, people begin to create their own religions, their own gods. Well, why not? But then they claim they have only one god—we cannot say there are two gods or three gods. Of course, there is only one, and that is the end of it. They are the gods within themselves, and they are the humans. And if humans realize this, then they will not kill anyone. It is not easy. Now they say, “Yes, we can eat meat, we can slaughter animals.” Then, fine, you may think that after this life you will go downward, while others go to the supreme. Therefore, we must come to Parabrahma Sarvatra, the Supreme Absolute which is everywhere, and in that reality, yoga comes from Śiva. And there are 84 āsanas (positions); that is yoga. But now, gradually, we humans have created very pleasant exercises, and that is also called yoga. In this way, there is physical yoga, mental yoga, and concentration yoga—many, many aspects. And so there are many gurus—Śiva, Rāma, Kṛṣṇa, and more, all twelve of them. But there is the living guru, the living guru who is beyond God. Śiva, Brahmā, Viṣṇu—they are also subject to change. But that guru, guru does not mean this physical body. Everyone says, “Okay,” but there is a living essence inside. That is the living guru, the divine living guru. Maybe one sādhu has only one or two disciples, and he does not desire any more. Another has many disciples—it varies. But that guru who comes from yuga to yuga, and now many become many things; they have learned many things, and say, “I am a guru, and I can teach,” and so on. But where are your roots? From where do your roots originate? That is from the Saptaṛṣis. And through the Saptaṛṣis, and the Saptaṛṣis are still present. And from those Saptaṛṣis, much of what we have in our land—this entire long land of India, Australia, the beaches, the Indian Ocean—extending to Australia. Yes, as you know, I have an ashram there. When I came there, they said, “Yes, the Indian Ocean, Australia, everywhere.” But now we have lost many, many things, yet we will still endure, because the living essence is the true living. And therefore, yoga. Yoga is that essence. Ultimately, it is said that there is space and consciousness. And when that is controlled, then Śiva manifests. So, there are many elements that gradually emerge. This is a lengthy process, but all came through Śiva. Whether we believe it or not, he has created it in that way, and we should understand the Saptaṛṣis. And from the Saptaṛṣis, all the ṛṣis that have emerged—I have Graghācārya, and Graghācārya is the one who married Graghācārya, Śivjī, and Pārvatī. Graghācārya is the one who married Graghācārya. Similarly, we are all seeds, and within this seed, there are further seeds, just as in human seeds. But now everything is becoming confused, confused, you see? So, yoga—whether for the physical body, to keep it healthy, happy, and everything, or for concentration and breath—ultimately leads to the master, the guru, whatever we may call it. So thank you. Yoga, yoga, everything is yoga. What we are cooking is yoga. We are cooking yoga. What we are cleaning is yoga. Yoga simply means what we are doing. That is it. Kuṇḍalinī is described in many ways in our books. Anyway, now we have two very nice new yogīs. Later I will give a lecture in another country. But for now, we will keep it short and sweet. Hari Oṃ. Thank you. So you can take your mask off, okay? So that you can have a little distance, okay? Dīp Nār Bhagavān Kī Jai. Thank you very much, our very, very dear students—not children, but students, yes, very good. So, thank you. See you again tomorrow. All my dear, Hari Oṃ, Śrī Dīp Nārāyaṇ Bhagavān, Dev Purīṣa Mahādevakī, Mādhāvanāñjī Bhagavānakī, Alakhpurījī Mahādevakī.
