Yesterday and today, when I went walking here, some of you were with me. I saw this whole meadow full of snow. I saw it like the picture in our yoga book with Gurujī, where Gurujī was sitting here and we had his darśan. This morning when I went again, it was truly the darśan of Gurujī. For me, it was as if Gurujī was sitting here, and all the light—the snow—is like his light spreading. Then I remembered what Gurujī told me that time. Gurujī had made a bhajan one or two years before; he composed a bhajan. I felt so much happiness and love, for there are rare masters who will compose a bhajan for a disciple. So when I came into the hall again, there you were singing the bhajan: "Juka-Juka Jīvo Maheśvarānanda ... ". And when the sansārīs leave Maheśvarānanda ... That was very vivid in my thought and feeling today. Gurujī always said two things: whatever is done, you should do it immediately, and whatever you have to do, do it immediately. What is done is done. A great poet in India, known throughout the whole world, said: "What is to be done tomorrow, do it today, and what is to be done today, do it just now." Who knows about life? If you will die, then what has to be done? When will you do this? And what you have not done was your obligation. Only for that you have to come back, and then you will go away. Sometimes someone dies very young, and we don't understand God, we do not understand destiny. We say, "How is it possible that such a young child or young person died?" But this person had only that much duty; that obligation is done, and therefore they have to continue the journey again. So it is very important to do your obligation and your sādhanā. I saw many people doing their sādhanā—disciplined, doing the sādhanā without a feeling of tiredness, without laziness. That is what I saw, and in many of you, I saw Gurujī. He reached teachings, a treasure in his bhajans—that complete realization, oneness with Mahāprabhujī. That reminds me very much today. I was thinking how quickly time is going. Already one and a half years have gone. Very soon, time will pass more and more. So we never know when or what will happen. Therefore, don't delay anything, don't postpone anything. Do it immediately if it's possible. As Patañjali said, there are a lot of obstacles, kleśas, in life. These kleśas are outside kleśas and inside kleśas, and the vṛttis, the thoughts. The inside kleśa is our inner negative thinking, inner pollution, which you are producing more and more through your thinking and through your words, through your talking. Imagine this glass is very clean and white, transparent. But as soon as you put smoke or some dirt inside, it will become dirty and it will not be transparent. Similarly, though your citta, your consciousness, is transparent, your negative words, your negative thinking, your negative talking, your negative behavior kills all the healthy germs of your body, the healthy cells in the body. It creates like a dark smoke around your body and your spirit, like a locomotive. The locomotive with the coal, the steam ... so there are some people in whom the coal is constantly burning. You cannot blame anyone, and no one can help us; only we have to do. But there are some people for whom it has become a habit: until they don't talk and think negative, they can't sleep. There are people sitting and trying to sleep, searching for who is a bad person and who is a terrible person. This is not good for us. So this is vikṣepa. The inner and outer vikṣepa: the outer vikṣepa is worldly problems—jobs, relations, financial problems, social problems, emotional problems, family problems, relation problems, political problems, health problems, problems with the parents, problems with the friends. Suddenly someone is ill, someone died. This is saṃsāra. Is every day happening something? Someone died, someone had an accident, someone is ill, someone doesn't want to work, someone is very aggressive, someone is drinking too much alcohol, someone takes drugs. This is saṃsāra. That is what is up and down, up and down. Protection against this is to accept it as it is. We cannot escape from that. Escape means to run away; it means that you have not solved the problem. So accept, understand, and do your best if you can help. We are sad if someone dies, we are happy if someone is born. We are sad and sorry if someone has an accident. We do care about others. But don't think that one day will be so nice, everything will be perfect. That will not be, because this saṃsāra is up and down, changing. Therefore, we should find the middle way to keep the balance. On the inner and outer: it is the nature of the mind to think. You cannot stop it, so then think good things. Think about God, think about spirituality. Think about other people's good, how to protect from pollution—the environment, help someone. If someone told someone bad things and someone is unhappy, then find out good words, how to help that person to overcome, so that we don't damage the principle of the mind, but just in the opposite way: instead of negative, positive. And similarly, in the outer world, go to understand the law of this world, and wherever you can, as much as you can, help. This is very important. And that's why for us it is Yoga in Daily Life. It's not only physical exercises, not only meditating. We do care about this world, we do care about ourselves, and we do care what's happening in nature. Therefore, this is Yoga in Daily Life. So this seminar, you got advice, instructions. It was not a series of lectures, because a series of lectures you had enough, but you learned something more: to master everyday life, to master yourself. And to be together in these rooms under this roof is of great meaning for us. You have been charging a lot of energy, and many things have become clear to you. I hope that it will become more and more clear. That's very, very important. So Yoga in Daily Life is everything. What you do in life, do it in a different way. That's it. That's very important.
