Devotion of Great Saints

A spiritual discourse on adversity, intellect, and the examples of saints.

"For whom the Lord has ordained severe suffering, He first takes away their intellect."

"In the astral world, in the astral body, there is no difference between male and female. There is only one consciousness that we have to achieve."

The speaker discusses how the intellect (buddhi) alters before a period of suffering arrives. He illustrates the path of spirituality through the stories of saints Mirabai, who merged with the divine, and Kabir Das, whose body transformed into flowers, transcending sectarian conflict. The talk reflects on the impermanent body, the eternal soul, and the cyclical relationship between master and disciple.

When a difficult destiny approaches someone, when a period of suffering lies in their future, then slowly, slowly their buddhi changes; the intellect is altered. It is said: "Jisko prabhu darun dukhe, uski buddhi pehle hare." For whom the Lord has ordained severe suffering, He first takes away their intellect. Then a negative thought enters the buddhi. A negative thought is a demon in the middle. To maintain saintliness, I say: "Mīrā, Dāsī, Janam Janam, Hari Tumāre, Kṛṣṇa." Mīrā is your servant from many, many lives. "Gaṇeśa, O Lord, appear in this life also." She had to go through so many difficulties. She became one with God. You see, such a great saint, that in front of the altar of Kṛṣṇa, just her body dematerialized. The flame out of her body became a flame, one flame with the flame of the jyoti. Hundreds of people were standing looking, and Mīrā was desperate and very sad while singing this song. They sang one song: "If I knew, oh Kṛṣṇa, such a last pain in her body came to torture me." And what happened? Just a flicker into the flame of the altar. This is also for us an example that not only males can go to heaven, but wherever you say, no, no, ladies can also. For spirituality, in the astral world, in the astral body, there is no difference between male and female. There is only one consciousness that we have to achieve. He had the nicest of the great saints. His name was Kabīr Dās. Bhajans, Jñānābāī bhajans, Kabīr Dās bhajans, Sūr Dās bhajans. In the morning at six, they played three or four bhajans by different saints for one hour, a spiritual program. The first opening of the radio station, there are only spiritual songs. Kabīr Dās, he did not know who his father was, a different family. This world is fighting between Hindus and Sufis. The Sufis said, "Kabīr Dās is ours, he started our path." The Hindus said that they would attack him. It's not easy to die for anything. So Kabīr Dās wrote one poem. He got up. He again woke up quickly. The sense of the poem is that, say Kabīrā, "Bālā, Samandhī ho, O Kabīr Dās, if you die somewhere in the forest, you say nobody. Take it half. Tear your body in two parts. If you fight like this, it seems that you will tear my body in two parts." They took it away. And what they found? Two flowers, same size, same color, beautiful Muslims. No physical body there. Only one example of Kabīr Dās. And when the saint was gone, the saint is gone. Then we cry, "Oh my, we didn't realize." So what I want to tell is, it is a relation of the master and disciple. So, marginalized ones play this game with people and again go. So, the spiritual souls move through the whole universe. The master goes away and also disciples go away. They become old and they will also die. They are buried somewhere and again the master will be there and disciples will be again there. Like the soul is from the waves of time. It remains and begins again all these complications and then again goes. If you are spiritually developed or not, it depends on how pure your inner self is. Inside it was put in milk, energy. I saw from 100, 200 meters far away, I did not want to experiment. I said, "Thank you, divine Śakti, Praṇām Bādeśvarī," from praṇām and I returned there. How long will you keep this body? 2000? How long? Cat of the day sleeping? Ultimately you have to come out, waste your time, everything. Don't concentrate too much on your body. It doesn't matter how many techniques you will do, one day you will go out of your head. We shall worry about? Thank you. --- Recording location: Australia, Brisbane, World Peace Tour 2005
