Now you are some years older, what we call the teenager, and now you are searching for other toys, looking for other toys. And the jealousy, anger, and hate become stronger. After some disappointment in your attachment, you search for other toys. That's called a hobby, to have a dog. So they begin to love the dog more than the husband. The poor man has to get up early and go with the dog, and has to bring it to the doctor and bring the food, clean the dog, look if there are some ticks inside, or riding, swimming, hiking, many, many hobbies. Then someone tells of spirituality, "What is that?" So that is a new toy. And then you come to the God's name, "Oh, God. This is a beautiful toy, because no one can take it away. Everyone can disappoint you, but God cannot disappoint you." That is something else. Once Holy Gurujī was in one city called Jodhpur. And there was about a 95-year-old lady. And Gurujī asked her, "Have you some Gurū? Have you mantra initiation?" She said, "No, I'm searching my whole life, but I didn't meet any Gurū till now." So the Holy Gurū said, "Well, what kind of Gurū are you searching? And what kind of Gurū did you meet?" "Oh, I met so many Gurūs, but everyone, they are eating and they are drinking, of course vegetarian, they take donations, they speak, they sleep, so why? What is the difference? I want that Gurū who doesn't eat and doesn't drink and doesn't require anything and doesn't go away from me." Gurujī said, "I have one Gurū for you like that." "Oh, Swāmījī Gurujī, that will be a great thing in my life. To die without a Gurū and to die without having a mantra, human life is senseless." She said, "Yes, please, can you tell me where is that Gurū?" So Gurujī said, "This is a stone. The stone doesn't eat, doesn't drink, doesn't ask for anything, and you can put it wherever you want. So accept that stone as your Gurū, because you must meet a living Gurū, and if it is a living Gurū, he has the same nature, will eat and drink." So we have to find a Brahmaniṣṭha Śrotriya Satgurū. Then we have to go through three trainings: first, to understand the words of the master, that's called Gurū Vākya, that means to follow the instructions. If you understand the Guruvākya, then you go to the Gurū-sevā. And Gurū-sevā means serving all the creatures. Mahāprabhujī, when he initiated Holy Gurujī as a sannyāsī, and Holy Gurujī asked, "What can I do for you? What's my duty?" Mahāprabhujī said, "Go and serve the world. Serving all the creatures is service to me." That's Gurū Sevā. When your Sevā is accepted, yes, you are doing good things in the world, then you get Gurū Kṛpā, and Gurū Kṛpā means the mercy of the Gurudeva. Therefore, it is said in one mantra: "Jñāna Mūlaṁ Gurū Mūrtiḥ, Pūjā Mūlaṁ Gurū Padam, Mantra Mūlaṁ Gurū Vākyaṁ, Mokṣa Mūlaṁ Gurū Kṛpā." The root of liberation is in the mercy of the Gurudeva. "Gurū Brahmā, Gurū Viṣṇu, Gurū Devo Maheśvara, Gurū Sākṣāt Paraṁ Brahma, tasmai Śrī Guruve Namaḥ." Therefore, Gurū Tattva is the Paraṁ Brahma, the Supreme. Gurū Tattva is Paramparā.
