Narmadeshvar

A spiritual instruction on the daily use of Amṛt (nectar) and the worship of a sacred Śiva Liṅgam.

"You may take Amṛt every day, or every Monday and Thursday. You could also take a break for a month after a year and then resume."

"Place one on your altar... perform an abhiṣeka on the Śiva Liṅgam while reciting the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya Mantra five times."

The speaker provides detailed guidance on the lifelong consumption of a sacred preparation called Amṛt Mahāprasād. He then describes a method to further energize it using a Śiva Liṅgam naturally formed in the Narmadā River, explaining the ritual of bathing the stone with the Amṛt and other offerings. The teaching emphasizes the unique vibrational energy imbued in such stones through natural erosion.

Yes, you can take Amṛt for your entire life. You may continue. This Mahāprasād is specially prepared. There is another very beautiful technique to purify and energize the Mahāprasād further, if you wish. In India, there is a very holy river named the Narmadā. Like the Gaṅgā, Yamunā, Sarasvatī, Kāverī, and Godāvarī—these most sacred, beautiful, and mighty rivers that flow for thousands of kilometers—the Narmadā River flows especially for Lord Śiva. From the mountains, rocks and stones roll in the river. Naturally and automatically, the stones are shaped by the water into forms that resemble a Śiva Liṅgam. People collect these, and many temples house such Śiva Liṅgams. They are called Narmadeśvara Śiva Liṅgams. Luckily, we have obtained some. I believe they are available in one of your yoga shops. What you should do is place one on your altar, with a nice base beneath it. In the morning, wash this Śivaliṅgam, bathe it nicely, and dry it with a soft cotton cloth. Then, with this liquid Amṛt Mahāprasād, perform an abhiṣeka on the Śiva Liṅgam while reciting the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya Mantra five times. Take a spoon and pour a few drops, or let the Amṛt flow onto the Śiva Liṅgam while chanting "Oṃ Tryambakaṃ," allowing it to drip as you repeat the mantra. Afterwards, pour a little milk on it, then a little honey, then some water. You may then partake of that offering. Finally, wash the Śiva Liṅgam again with clean water. That stone carries a unique vibration. Consider a large, 10-kilogram rock, rolled and tumbled in the river countless times until it is worn down to perhaps a quarter or half a kilogram. This constant turning imbues it with a specific energy, much like in homeopathy, where the potency is a matter of vibrational essence rather than quantity. For me, homeopathy is not merely medicine; it is a blessing—a transmission of vibration and energy. Similarly, this stone, having been rolled millions upon millions of times, possesses distinct vibrations. Therefore, you may take Amṛt every day, or every Monday and Thursday. You could also take a break for a month after a year and then resume. Taking it daily is perfectly fine and beneficial; it will do you no harm.
