Atma and the Soul
5:10 - 5:51 (41 min)
The essence is realizing the non-dual Self, or Ātmā Anubhūti. Our practice, Kriyā Anuṣṭhāna, is a resolve for this experience. The individual Ātmā is ultimately one with the supreme Paramātmā, like space within different vessels. Śaṅkarācārya's non-dual philosophy teaches this unity. He used the example of one moon reflected in many cups of water; the reflections are many, but the moon is one. Similarly, the one Ātmā is reflected in all beings. Ignorance creates duality, like mistaking a rope for a snake, which brings fear. True knowledge dispels this illusion. We must practice diligently, not procrastinate, to awaken to the light of this knowledge and realize we are the pure, everlasting Ātmā.
"Śaṅkarācārya said there is duality in matter, but unity is in oneness in Ātmā."
"From where did the snake come? How did the fear awake? That was ignorance."

The Union of Consciousness: Yoga, Chakras, and the Human Journey
11:30 - 12:01 (31 min)
Yoga is the union of individual consciousness with cosmic consciousness, achieved through balance. The universe is an endless, conscious body. Within it, the divine will manifested as the sound Aum, from which the elements emerged. The human form is special due to its educable intellect. The physical body is sustained by 72,000 energy channels, or nāḍīs, which distribute cosmic energy. Three principal nāḍīs—Iḍā, Piṅgalā, and Suṣumṇā—govern our being and intersect at energy centers called chakras. The dormant spiritual power, Kuṇḍalinī, awakens as super-consciousness, uniting these energies. Our current consciousness is often mired in lower chakras, leading to animalistic behaviors and negative emotions like jealousy. The mind cannot be controlled, only guided, as it moves between the conscious and subconscious. Physical death is a recycling of elements, analogous to the soul's reincarnation.
"Yoga means balance. Where there is balance, there is harmony. Where there is harmony, there is unity."
"The mind cannot be controlled. If you control the mind, then psychic problems will appear. You cannot control the river, you cannot block it, you can guide the river."

Kundalini: The Serpent Power of Destiny
15:20 - 16:10 (50 min)
Kundalini is the dormant serpent power of destiny within consciousness. This energy, symbolized by the snake representing time and death, is our latent potential. Our life is governed by destiny, which is the product of our own past actions. No one else is responsible. To navigate this destiny, one must act with awareness of deśa and kāla—place and time. Controlling emotions and adjusting to circumstances brings harmony. The goal is awakening this Kundalini, which is enlightenment—the light of wisdom and love within. This liberation frees one from destiny's power. Human life is rare, and having spiritual interest and a guide is a great blessing for this journey.
"Destiny is the product of your own actions. No one is there to be blamed."
"Act according to the time and place. Whoever can adjust himself or herself to this time and situation will be successful."

We suffer because we left Nature
16:15 - 17:05 (50 min)
The true home is found not in the blood family, but in the spiritual family and the heart's openness. Our worldly home can be difficult, but yoga reveals the whole world as God's family. Understanding religious festivals requires the light of a self-realized master, transforming belief into spirituality. Gatherings in that light are different, guided by Ahiṃsā.
We must become like a wooden spoon that retains sweetness, not a metal spoon that is washed clean. This requires opening the heart with humility; ego acts like Teflon, causing everything to slide away. When returning to a non-spiritual environment, maintain inner softness and practice. We are in God's garden meant to bear fruit. Knowledge must be given or it is lost; this is a living tradition, Sanātana Dharma.
The path to Brahman, the highest reality, requires a guru. Humility is key: the small ant finds the sugar, not the large elephant. The female principle is highly divine. Human suffering arises because we have left nature. We must return to a natural way of living through yoga and diet, and teach what we learn.
"Slowly, we will gain that sweetness. That is all we need."
"Humbleness, kindness, and that clear-minded bhakta will find that Satguru."

Spirituality and joy
19:40 - 19:57 (17 min)
An evening satsang on the nature of spirituality.
"Spirituality: purity and humbleness, kindness, peace, understanding, oneness. Without this oneness, no peace, no spirituality."
"What can be more spiritual than this? Joy, joy, joy. It is that joy we should get like this now. Spirituality is what we call the joy."
A spiritual teacher addresses a gathering in an ashram, exploring the essence of spirituality beyond religious forms. He describes it as the harmonious union of mother (earth/nature) and father (divine light/energy) principles, manifesting as inner joy, peace, and oneness. He contrasts this with the discord of the modern age, concluding that true spirituality is found in present happiness and collective harmony.

The Awakening of Kuṇḍalinī: A Journey to Happiness, Love, and Wisdom
20:35 - 21:03 (28 min)
The awakening of Kuṇḍalinī is a journey to happiness, universal love, and wisdom. Our journey spans many lives as we develop individual consciousness, which is part of the cosmic Self. Yoga is the practice of reunion with that Self. We have five bodies, or kośas: the physical, energetic, mental, intellectual, and causal bodies. The causal body holds two levels of joy: limited worldly happiness and divine, everlasting bliss. The soul is the collection of our karmas and qualities, not the divine Self. At self-realization, this soul dissolves. When the physical body dies, the karma and qualities persist like a shadow, determining future destiny. Chakras receive and circulate cosmic energy. They must be purified through mantra and yogic practice for Kuṇḍalinī to awaken. Without proper guidance, this awakening can cause imbalance and unpleasant feelings. The term Kuṇḍalinī relates to a deep place of unconsciousness where past experiences reside. Its serpentine symbolism refers to the winding path of the body's energy channels, the nāḍīs. Awakening is not a physical crawling sensation but a process that brings happiness, universal love, and wisdom in stages.
"Yoga means union, and practicing yoga means reunion. We are part of the cosmic Self."
"The awakening of the Kuṇḍalinī means happiness, universal love, and wisdom—these three are connected by these three nāḍīs."

Shiva is universal
21:10 - 21:31 (21 min)
The human body and all life are profoundly influenced by the seasons and the earth's radiance. The greatest threat today is climate change, caused by human greed. This mental pollution creates physical pollution, leading to drought and suffering. If we had followed the prayers and instructions of ancient sages, this situation would not exist. People pray for rain, but often do so selfishly as beggars. Śiva asks for unconditional love and devotion, not begging. The use of chemical pesticides creates unbearable heat in the earth, harming it like a cancer and contributing to environmental breakdown. The four monsoon months are designated for dedicated worship and meditation on Lord Śiva. Śiva is the eternal, undestroyable consciousness from which all manifestation arises. I advise all to meditate on Śiva and repeat the mantra. Prayer must come from a heart of endless love, not like morning dew that vanishes. Pray for forgiveness and for the sake of all creatures and vegetation.
"Mother Earth has enough for everyone’s need, but not for their greed."
"Where there is love, there are no conditions: unconditional love, unconditional devotion."

We seek purity
21:35 - 21:46 (11 min)
A spiritual discourse on purity and devotion in the modern age.
"Therefore, I always implore our devotees: 'Please do not be black, please do not be black.'"
"I want to be this drop. I want to drink... it desires only purity, directly from my God."
The lecturer reflects on the pervasive darkness of the Kali Yuga, observed in clothing and culture, and contrasts it with the purity found in sacred music and devotion. He shares teachings from his Gurudeva, using the metaphor of a pure drop of water (pū) to describe the soul's yearning for divine purity over worldly abundance, and calls for inner cleanliness and the declaration of the pure "I am."

A Call for Peace and Self-Realization
22:15 - 23:22 (67 min)
My mission is to bring peace and self-realization. We cannot create peace with weapons, only with love and respect for all creatures. Millions have died in wars; killing is a loss, not a victory, and contradicts divine commands. We fight from ignorance, clinging to temporary possessions like our bodies, houses, and power, which we must leave behind at death. True victory is inner peace. Forgive others, though we may not forget, and cease fighting for the sake of future generations. Our human life is a precious, singular opportunity granted by grace. Its purpose is to serve, protect creation, and realize the Divine Self, moving beyond animalistic qualities like hatred to embrace kindness and tolerance. To know yourself is to know God; ignorance breeds suffering. Yoga is the ancient science for this union, balancing the individual and cosmic consciousness. It is a holistic therapy for our five bodies—physical, energetic, mental, intellectual, and causal—leading to health and liberation. The mind is a process between consciousness and subconsciousness, filled with impressions and unfulfilled desires that cause distress. You cannot stop the mind, but you can direct it toward God through meditation and relaxation. Energy centers, or chakras, exist within the body; practices can awaken them for healing and spiritual progress. Do not waste this human life without seeking God-realization.
"With weapons, with guns, you cannot bring peace. But with flowers, and with love, you can bring peace to the world."
"Yoga means the union of the individual consciousness with the cosmic consciousness."
