The cosmic Śakti is the universal energy that unites consciousness and creation, manifesting within all beings. This energy, the Kuṇḍalinī Śakti, flows through 72,000 nāḍīs in the human body, with three primary channels: Iḍā (moon, mind, emotion), Piṅgalā (sun, intellect, action), and Suṣumṇā (consciousness). The body's energy centers, or chakras, correspond to the five elements and different states of awareness, from the unconscious Mūlādhāra to the superconscious Sahasrāra. Awakening this energy requires discipline in diet, behavior, and thought, guided by mantra and meditation to purify subconscious impressions and past karma. This path leads from individual consciousness to cosmic consciousness, culminating in union with the divine.
"The force within this which will guide you and which will give you the different experiences, happiness, that is what you call the kuṇḍalinī."
"Without mantra, without guru mantra, you cannot awaken your kuṇḍalinī, and if you do, then there can be complications."
