Śraddhā and titikṣā are the essential pillars of faith and endurance. Śraddhā is confidence in yourself, your abilities, and in God. Without it, you cannot act or progress. Titikṣā is the power to endure hardship without complaint, to awaken your inner reserve energy to persevere and achieve your aim. This is like a runner pushing past exhaustion to find a second wind, or a car tapping into a reserve fuel tank. These qualities require you to be strict with yourself and maintain faith. A story illustrates this. Two turtles lived in a lake. The husband had spiritual faith, while the wife was skeptical. One day, a man dressed like a holy man appeared. The husband insisted they go see him, expressing his faith that it was a divine opportunity. The wife reluctantly agreed. The man, however, was a hunter who captured them and placed them in a pot of boiling water to cook. In the crisis, the wife despaired, but the husband maintained his faith and urged endurance, believing God would save them. A sudden storm extinguished the fire and caused a flood, which carried them safely back to the lake, fulfilling the husband's faith. "Without śraddhā, you cannot do anything. Vedānta is the highest essence of Vedic knowledge. The Veda is the complete science of the universe, containing all knowledge. It instructs a life in harmony with cosmic law. Ancient seers, the Ṛṣis, lived by this principle. They transmitted this science verbally long before written texts. Vedic culture means following natural law; deviation brings suffering through unhappiness and illness. This culture originated along the Sarasvatī River and spread. It encompasses profound sciences: Āyurveda, the knowledge that every plant has use; Samudra Śāstra, the science of reading destiny from lines on the palm or foot; and astrology, the third eye of the divine. These require deep, spiritual study. The culture includes sixteen life initiations and daily practices like Svara Yoga, using breath flow to determine auspicious actions. The core teaching is self-knowledge: you are not the body or mind, but the immortal divine. This culture is a universal law for all. The master's promise is that no disciple is ever abandoned, even through the deepest falls. One meets a master, practices, then abandons it all, committing sins and descending into lower lives. The master follows everywhere. When the disciple became a reptile, the master entered a reptile body to meet him. The being finally became a small bee trapped inside a closing lotus flower at evening. Before dawn, the master sent holy angels, who bring flowers to God each morning. He instructed them to bring that specific lotus. They brought the closed flower before God. As its petals opened, God saw the small creature inside. He took it into his palm, expressing joy at seeing His dear child. Upon God's touch, the bee was enlightened. Its form dematerialized as a light entering the heart of God. The story assures that your master will bring you to God and enlightenment. It also assures that God loves all His creatures beautifully. "My dear child, how happy I am to see you." Yoga honors the body through gentle, non-strenuous movement. Strenuous activity like running consumes excessive energy and causes harm. Gentle cycling or walking without sweating is advised. Dynamic yoga practices use and return energy equally, so they must be brief and followed by sustained postures. Stretching is beneficial but has limits; never force the body. Natural flexibility varies, and modern lifestyles affect aging. Gentle asanas systematically influence breath, circulation, and all bodily systems, creating wellness. The body is delicate and must be handled with utmost care and tenderness. Loving oneself leads to consciousness and love for others, which is loving God. The profound bond with a true master, a Trikal Darśī, enables divine grace that transcends worldly limitations. I once recalled my own master's soul through deep love, though I do not know how. Later, he lingered until I, with a heart of iron, gave permission for his final departure, as he had requested. This illustrates that intellectual reality differs from spiritual truth. Just as light instantly dispels eons of darkness, the guru's blessing instantly destroys all past karma. Upon receiving his mantra, you are liberated. You need do nothing but be in his consciousness. The heart overflows with love or pain, manifesting as tears. In this age, few love God truly, as most seek money and position. Yet God never disappoints; He loves. God, who never truly sleeps, tends a garden, loving every plant. A bamboo in the corner feels unloved and flawed, pleading to remain in the garden despite its emptiness and knots of ego. God explains He must cause it pain to serve a higher purpose: first, to craft a flute whose music will open human hearts, and later, to use its trunk as a channel to bring water to a parched land. The bamboo consents, asking only for God's continued love. This illustrates that where there is pure heart and love, there is no real pain, jealousy, or fear. The distinction between Haṭha and Rāja Yoga is often misunderstood. Haṭha Yoga traditionally consists of six purificatory kriyās for cleansing body and mind. Three layers cover our consciousness: impurity, restlessness, and ignorance. The first layer is impurity in thought and action. Yoga is the principle of union, and religion is the realization of relation. Both concern our essential connection. We are all essence of the cosmic Self. Achieving this balance is harmony, and harmony is union—the union of individual consciousness with cosmic consciousness. This principle is as old as the universe. To realize this union, one follows sādhanā: prayer, meditation, mantras, and ethical conduct like kindness and non-harm. These principles were articulated by yogis. Satsaṅg is the highest key to self-realization. Those who are disciples of a Gurū are holy, and to join them is a great blessing. Do not go for the people; go for the Gurudev and for God. If you think others do not like you, it is because you think that way; your own mind creates your loneliness or happiness. For God-realization, you must have God in your mind. To think you are self-realized and do not need satsaṅg is foolish. Without satsaṅg, I die. Satsaṅg is divine love; if you miss it, you miss a dose. Commercial interest is not inherently wrong; money is a tool for establishing more ashrams. The essential practice is for teachers to freely refer students to one another. When God resides in your consciousness, your speech and writing are kind. Those with God within never speak harshly, while those with the devil express jealousy and anger. A young waiter hated a certain president at a gathering. Before taking a drink, the president smiled, touched his shoulder, and asked kindly if he was tired, calling him a good, strong man. For months, the waiter spoke only of this president's kindness, contrasting it with his own president's arrogance, who ignored him holding a heavy tray. This shows you can change anyone for the better through kindness. Everyone needs love, for life is love. Maintain the world with love and attention. Success lies in discipline and kindness. When you are kind, God speaks through you, and you are happy. Open a small window of your heart to others, and you will receive a millionfold in return. "Life is love. Illness arises from both modern systemic causes and karmic destiny, requiring acceptance and a dual approach to healing. Modern diseases like cancer are increasingly common, affecting even those with healthy habits. This is due to the entire modern system, including pollution, pesticides, and stress, which diminish our immunity. It is also the karma of being born in this age. Therefore, one must accept illness and seek treatment. Do not deny modern medical science, such as chemotherapy or operations, which can save lives. Simultaneously, turn to nature for prevention and healing. Seek healthy food, water, and air. Incorporate specific natural remedies and consider dietary shifts. A story illustrates the destructive nature of jealousy. I was instructed to recount a story from 1966. It concerns a jealous man fixated on his neighbor. He performed intense prayer for wealth. God granted him a magical coin that would fulfill any wish, but with a condition: his neighbor would always receive double. Enraged by this, the man abandoned the coin and left to earn money through hard labor. His desperate family later used the coin, receiving abundant food and goods, with the neighbor receiving double. Upon learning of this, the jealous man returned home furious. He then used the coin to wish himself harm—losing a limb, an eye—so his neighbor would suffer doubly. He ultimately destroyed everything, becoming a beggar. This shows how jealousy ruins oneself and others. True spirituality is simply to be good, merciful, and kind. "if you ask this coin for one million dollars, it will give you immediately. But at the same time, your neighbor will get two million." "He threw these funds into the water well and went for begging. We are not truly searching for mere physical exercise. The prevalent global message operates on a lower level, fixated on demonstrating postures others cannot do—this is greediness. Realizing completeness in consciousness is the central theme. The feeling that something is missing indicates a consciousness not oriented toward pūrṇa, or fullness. True pūrṇatā must be permanent, not a temporary feeling. Desire, by its nature, signifies incompleteness, as it arises from a sense of lack needing fulfillment. Each desire divides attention, creates duality, and ultimately leads to disappointment, separating one from the conscious experience of wholeness. Life is an impermanent, flowing illusion, and our dissatisfaction arises from resisting its natural change. We become angry, feeling trapped by circumstances like marriage, believing we have lost our dreams. Yet life is meant to flow like water, which stays fresh only when moving. Imagine sitting on a train, watching landscapes pass; this is the beautiful, transient movie of existence. Do not lament what you could not do. Prepare for the next life to fulfill those wishes, but you still have time here. The essential task is to begin your spiritual path, for a life without remembrance of the divine is profoundly deficient. It is never too late to start. Merely eating and sleeping makes one little different from an animal. Therefore, practice yoga and follow spiritual principles in daily life. Do not wait for retirement or perfect conditions, for such dreams are bubbles. Awaken now and live the teachings without fanaticism. Think globally, for the planet is one village. Do not discriminate or claim ownership through greed; live in harmony with all creatures. Simplicity is key, avoiding the swing from austerity to excessive accumulation. Satsaṅg and an integrated yoga practice are essential. Never miss satsaṅg; it must hold the first place in life. Yoga is the universal balancing principle for the body, mind, and all relationships. Ancient scriptures describe yogic disciplines like trust, meditation, and compassion, which are present in all religions. Yoga was later divided into branches like Karma, Bhakti, Jñāna, and Rāja Yoga, all described in texts like the Bhagavad Gītā. Karma means all action; even inaction is a form of action. Selfless service, or Karma Yoga, requires love, making it incomplete without Bhakti Yoga. It also requires discipline and knowledge, linking it to Rāja and Jñāna Yoga. All four branches are interconnected and essential; claiming only one leads to a mistake. True knowledge manifests as great practice in all branches. Even Haṭha Yoga requires these four parts. Reality exists independent of belief, like the sun shining regardless of opinion. The direct realization of the Self and God-consciousness is the only essential knowledge; all other learning is secondary. A genuine spiritual connection, once found, ends the search. A saint is defined by a large heart, not external roles. I observed an elderly woman braving deep snow and cold to feed birds on a riverbank, a pure act of selfless karma. In the stark black-and-white winter landscape, a couple in a tiny hut demonstrated this saintly heart. Despite his wife's protests, the husband welcomed a freezing donkey, a lost traveler, more men, a grandmother with a child, a deer, and finally a bear family into their 8-square-meter space. His compassion was so vast he stepped outside himself, praying for a heart large enough to welcome all. This is the heart of a yogī. In contrast, some here, claiming to be spiritual disciples, refused to share available space with others in need. Such possessiveness, far from non-violence, shows greed and envy. Reading books or performing rituals without cultivating a consciousness of kindness, friendship, and oneness is not true yoga. Your spiritual progress is zero if you lack this expansive heart. Do not just recite "I am Divine"; purify your consciousness and be kind. What you think returns to you. "To feed these birds or such creatures is the best karma. True spiritual progress unfolds through innocent devotion and grace. A farmer attended teachings without grasping concepts, yet faithfully requested a mantra. He initially saw the master as merely a bull, then a talker, a wise man, and finally a holy being. Through simple repetition and honest reflection, his perception purified over years. He ultimately realized everything was the Guru's grace, the very movement of God. This conscious recognition alone dispels ignorance. Life decreases each moment; do not postpone practice. Every deed and thought is accounted for, returning to the individual according to its quality. Good and bad karmas both bind, though good brings positive effects. A liberated being still performs actions through the body, which functions continuously like a table gathering dust. Negative thoughts or speech about others draw their karmic qualities to you. Speaking well of negative people draws their good qualities to you. The loss of spiritual focus creates a gap, often caused by negative association or turning away from sacred guidance. All spiritual life is bhajan. Concentration must be maintained until samadhi, a state beyond the mind. "O my mind, you have lost everything with Kushangī." The spiritual light of holy festivals calls for inner purification and universal unity. Divine incarnations manifest for all humanity, not a single culture. Realization requires strict discipline to purify one's nature from passion, anger, greed, attachment, and ego. These inner enemies destroy years of practice when temptation arises. The intellect must guard the soul, the VIP within. Jealousy and hatred prevent unity and love. Spiritual days remind us that God's love has no boundaries, like a river all may drink from. One achieves immortality by overcoming these negative qualities. Follow the divine example of those who remained on the path despite suffering. The miracle of life is prāṇa, found in the inhalation and exhalation. Seek not in the external world of tension and competition, but within the peaceful breath. This prāṇa is the cosmic energy nourishing all living beings. Its regulation through prāṇāyāma is the core of yoga, enabling profound health and the burning of karma. This sacred science originated with Śiva, transmitted through Pārvatī and later sages like Patañjali, who systematized it. Modern interpretations often fragment yoga, losing its essence. A true, systematic practice requires a guide to avoid damage and demands personal discipline. Ambition prevents success and destroys the fruit of spiritual practice. Without a Guru's grace and true faithfulness, efforts yield no result. Faithfulness is now lost, as minds ask "What do I get?" and thus miss its golden benefit. An unsteady, ambitious mind cannot achieve perfection. A story illustrates this. A being sought immortality from Śiva but was refused. He then requested a power: whoever's head he touched would burn. Granted this, he immediately tried to use it on Śiva himself. Śiva fled. Viṣṇu, appearing as a dancer, tricked the being into a dance where he imitated her movements and placed his hand on his own head, burning himself. His own ambition destroyed him. Therefore, proceed step by step. Be faithful to your practice, your friends, yourself, your master, and your disciples. Direct experience, like that of spiritual energies, is beyond intellect. It is like blind men describing an elephant—each touches a different part and claims a different truth. All are right from their limited experience, and none grasp the whole. This barren state is merely a perch for a bird that signifies negative blackmail—implanting negative thoughts, words, and sounds. We must instead plant positive words and sounds in others' minds.
