Mantra Initiation

A mantra is a spiritual initiation requiring complete understanding and lifelong commitment. A mantra is a divine name and spiritual energy. Before receiving one, study the master's biography thoroughly to comprehend the guru's eternal role. The disciple-master bond transcends physical death. True initiation is a spiritual marriage merging consciousness. It demands clarity, not emotion. Choose a master from a verified spiritual lineage. Sanātana Dharma is the eternal, universal principle of truth and consciousness, not a single religion. The transmission of this wisdom from master to disciple is the process. Adhere to ethical living, principally non-violence expressed through vegetarianism. This diet supports health and clarity. Prepare harmoniously in your life before initiation. "Unless you understand what the mantra means, and unless you have clarity about religion—which means free thinking—the mantra is not good for you to take." "To receive a mantra is also a spiritual marriage where your consciousness merges with the master's consciousness." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Alpahar Diet - Reduce the Eating

Drowsiness in practice arises from tamas, increased by diet. Grains that create gas promote tamas, like pouring water on a fire creates smoke. Therefore, Alpāhāra—eating little—is prescribed. Light meals that produce minimal waste are advised, as most breads and aged chapatis are tamasic. However, one's physical labor must be considered; strict Alpāhāra may not suit hard workers who need strength from grains like chapatis. Nuts like almonds benefit brain function, and daily pranayama can manage cholesterol from them. Ultimately, Alpāhāra means to reduce consumption significantly. "Alpāhāra is suggested. 'Alpa' means little." "Therefore, we need to eat grains. We should eat chapatis or bread—not in excess, but what gives strength." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Phalahari Diet

Phalāhāra is a diet of fruits, roots, and vegetables, excluding all grains and seeds. Milk products are permitted in very small quantities. Consuming large amounts of dairy, nuts, or excessive fruit contradicts the fast's purpose. For physical labor, strength from grains is necessary, making a simple meal preferable to an imbalanced observance. The ideal for spiritual practice is minimal nourishment like fruit and soup. "Phalāhāra means no grains, no bread, no rice, no lentils." "It is better you eat a little rice and vegetables." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Your Body will Give You Answer

The body is a divine creation where every part has a purpose. Do not remove functional parts like tonsils lightly, as they serve a role and alternatives exist. The body naturally ages, its functions retiring over time. In a dialogue, the body explains its weariness is due to the owner's neglect—poor diet, sleep, and misuse for vanity. It states the conscious self does not die but will receive a new body upon rebirth, while the current form rests. The body is a precious, fragile masterpiece of nature that cannot be replicated. "Every limb, part, and function of the body will slowly, slowly retire." "You will get a beautiful, young, new body when you are born." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Touch the Nature

Sleeping under the open sky connects us to nature's peace and divine energy. Many cherish sleeping in a tent, a personal castle like a bird's nest. In some places, people sleep outdoors for most of the year by choice. While mosquitoes are a modern concern, nature offers profound rest. Workers sleep directly on the cooled earth, enjoying the breeze. Snakes are present but will not bite unless threatened; they react only to fear. Generally, animals do not attack a peaceful, calm presence, with notable exceptions. We must still be cautious around larger wildlife. Our life belongs to nature, and we find happiness within it. Being in a natural space, under a grand tree, provides strong, indescribable energy. This environment offers 24 hours of meditative energy, free from noise, allowing us to touch nature directly. "They will not bite unless you frighten them." "For 24 hours, we are in divine energy, meditative energy." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Value of the Human Body

The human body is the essential instrument for spiritual realization. This physical form is a unique and invaluable vehicle, likened to a precious diamond that cannot be borrowed or replaced. Its loss is permanent. For performing karma, one must be fully awakened and seated within this temple of the five elements. The astral body alone cannot create karma, as in a typical dream. Action requires the coordinated instrument of body, mind, intellect, consciousness, and emotion engaged in the physical world. This instrument is indispensable. "This diamond, if you lose it, it is lost. You have it; you must use it or lose it." "For performing karma, it is essential that you are seated in the temple made of the five elements." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Use It or Lose It

The day is gone and will not return, so you must use it well or lose it. One day passes and is lost forever. I met a 102-year-old woman in an old age home who remains conscious and mobile, attributing her vitality to yoga practice. In Belgrade, a yoga teacher over 90 stays flexible and healthy through yoga, unlike many former athletes who stiffen with age. Her master's teaching was clear: you must use it or lose it. This day is finished. Reflect on how you used it. What was your mental state during meditation and selfless service? Did you avoid your duties? Consider your mindfulness while eating and your study of sacred texts. How many chapters did you read or contemplate? Therefore, utilize each day fully. "You have either to use it or lose it." "How did you use this day? What did you think during meditation?" Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Work as Worship

Work is worship, meaning all life activity is ceremony for the divine. Pūjā is adoration and glorification. Humans possess many hungers—for money, position, beauty—which are endless longings. To be free, one must not be a slave to these senses and mind. The immortal fulfillment comes from that which spoils all other desires. Karma Yoga is this discipline; it is not mere work but worship. It releases stuck energy, purifies the intellect, and brings joy, serving as a profound therapy for the mind. "Tu manindriyāṇkā rājā, ātmāñantar jāmī." "Mat kar iskī gulāmī, ātmā yantra yāmī." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Sanathana Dharma

Sanātana Dharma is the universal principle, not a religion. The Vedas and Upaniṣads teach of one nameless God, Īśvara. This wisdom is a world heritage. Our practice is a complete life, not just postures. Originally, there was only this eternal law. We also affirm millions of divine forms. This is not a contradiction. All forms originate from the one source, like all liquids from water. The ultimate truth is Brahman; the changing world is unreal. Human life is precious yet limited. We strive but cannot overcome all. Universal principles like peace belong to all. "One in all and all in one." "Brahma śakti jagat mithyā. The reality, the truth, the ultimate truth is Brahman. And jagat mithyā: all this changeable world is unreality." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

A healthy body has a healhty mind

The relationship between body and mind is not absolute. A body can be ill while the mind remains perfectly healthy; to insist otherwise is discriminatory. The saying refers to how a physically healthy person's mental focus weakens when illness arises, as the intellect becomes consumed by bodily concerns. But you are not that worrying intellect. You are the immortal ātmā, which cannot be destroyed. You are the indescribable divine light within that cannot be ill. Attaining this knowledge causes all psychic and psychological problems to disappear. "Oh God, I have kidney problems. Oh God, I have heart problems." "You are the ātmā, which cannot be killed by any weapons." Filming location: Prague, Czech Republic

Mental Training

The mind is a wild elephant, a mighty power that can be trained through logical thinking and mental techniques. Observe that everything constantly changes; this turning world is called saṃsāra. Wise ones think logically, not selfishly. Selfishness is a problem requiring self-treatment: think for others, not just yourself. It is difficult to know others' feelings, but do not be greedy or attached, for attachment brings suffering. Give others a chance; this culture of courtesy unites people and creates love. Do not make differences among people; have equal vision to avoid jealousy. Your mental development requires giving up greed and the feeling of "only me." Success is not in taking or in business, which often means cheating, but in giving—your attention, love, and chance to others. Clean your inner platform of rocks like selfishness, greed, ego, anger, and hate, so your mind, the pilot, can manage. A yogī should not have hate, which is a subtle form of hiṁsā. "Think logically. As you think for yourself, think for others too." "Successful is the one who succeeded in giving everything. To take is not difficult, but to give is difficult." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Kapil Muni

Kapila Muni is the supreme perfection among siddhas. Our spiritual lineage venerates Kapila Muni as its deity, and its tradition is ancient. The scriptural wisdom of India is an immortal ocean for realizing the dignity of human life. Merely engaging in animalistic pleasures like eating and sleeping wastes this human birth. The purpose is to awaken your human qualities through this knowledge. Kapila Muni's attainment was absolute, with perfect self-control and a consciousness present across all realms. Compared to his sadhana, our efforts are a joke. We fail to become perfect yogis due to our own laziness and desires. Therefore, you must wake up now. "O man, drinking, eating, enjoying, creating children, and sleeping—animals are also very active in this. If you are doing only this much, where is the difference between animals and you?" "If you are a perfect yogī, even God will adore you." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Disease Prevention Program

Cancer arises from many causes, including environmental toxins and karmic destiny, yet prevention through yogic discipline and diet is paramount. Some claim yoga can cure cancer, but rigorous practice does not guarantee immunity, as destiny and karma play a role. A story illustrates how a non-believer, cured through prayer, found faith. The primary path is prevention: cleanse the body with Haṭha yoga techniques like netī and kapālabhāti. Adopt a strict dietary regimen featuring sprouts, lemon, turmeric, ginger, tulsi, and neem. A specific mixture of honey, lemon, and spices boosts immunity. Drink ample water, preferably from a copper vessel. Avoid alcohol, eggs, and most dairy. This practice regenerates tissues and strengthens the body's defenses against disease. "Only through positive thinking, spiritual practice, and renunciation can we overcome some destiny and karma." "This program can also cure certain diseases. Practice Kapālabhāti for five minutes and Bastrika for ten minutes." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Don't be the slave of your Siddhi

Beware of false spiritual powers and deception. The mind seeks novelty even after finding truth. Negative energy often speaks sweetly to mislead. Some falsely claim siddhis like reading auras or futures to exploit pure-hearted believers. Authentic realization is demonstrated, not proclaimed. Claiming powers one does not possess is a great sin. Such false siddhis become major obstacles on the spiritual path, binding and burning the aspirant like dry grass in fire. Genuine spiritual energy manifests naturally through presence and kindness, not through proclamation. Do not play with these things for ego or benefit. Focus on true spiritual practice. "There is no austerity greater than truth. And no greater sin than to lie." "For those who are striving to achieve samādhi, in the waking state, siddhis come. And this kind of siddhi becomes a bandage." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

From today onwards I will begin again my new yoga life

The essential practice is continuity in sādhanā, sustained by love and willpower. Beginning is easy, but maintenance requires constant inner effort. The aim provides motivation, just as an ill person seeks a doctor. Sādhanā is the bucket drawing water from the well, connected by the rope of motivation. If the rope of positive thinking frays with negativity, it breaks, and the endeavor fails. Love is fundamental; when it decreases, disharmony follows and motivation dies. Doubt is a subtle bacterium that can erode even a mighty resolve. An ant repeatedly dropping a grain of rice but persevering until success teaches never to give up. Life's problems are perpetual, like bacteria that cannot be fully blocked. Therefore, one must find time for sādhanā, nurturing the inner life with the water of love, the fertilizer of care, and the light of wisdom. This creates harmony for body, mind, and soul. "O Lord, day by day, my love should increase." "Never give up. Try, practice, practice, practice. And finally, you will be able to bring your corn to the nest." Bring in the world love, harmony, understanding and tolerance

Understanding the blessing of true friendship is rare and essential. Even in heaven, one may reject bliss for a trivial attachment, leading to lasting suffering. To comprehend a blessing requires divine grace itself. Righteousness must provide patience and support in critical moments, or it is useless. A friend is defined by loyalty in crisis, not by fair-weather admiration. Many claim friendship but love conditionally, based on wealth, health, or utility. Such relationships vanish when tested, causing deep pain. True friendship is as integral as one's own skin. We gather from different backgrounds in harmony, modeling the peace needed in a world torn by conflict. Our collective voice and heart must work beyond dogma to foster universal love and tolerance, pledging unwavering support to one another. "People love your money, not your skin." "At the most critical time of your life, who will be on your side? That is the best friend." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Keep away from the impurity

The Ātmā is your true nature of peace and bliss. You are that divine Self, the form of peace and happiness for which all entities search. Barriers of impurity, distraction, and veiling obscure this knowledge. Impurity in action, emotion, and thought prevents the clear vision of the Self. Negative thinking and speech create a heavy karma, a weight that imprisons and pulls one down. External negativity and gossip can invade and steal your inner peace. Therefore, purification is essential. Spirituality means cultivating purity to realize your true nature. "You have peace in you, and keep this peace in you." "When someone begins to talk about something negative or about someone, immediately stop." Filming location: Prague, Czech Republic

SVADHISTHANA CHAKRA

The Svādhiṣṭhāna Chakra is the place of the self where human personality manifests. Its orange color symbolizes awakening, renunciation, and purification, acting as a protective shield. This chakra holds negative qualities like anger, jealousy, greed, cruelty, and hatred, symbolized by the crocodile. These arise from uncontrolled passion and attachment. The energy here must be purified. Desires must be transformed into love, and anger into peace. Greed turns into giving. The chakra contains both creative and destructive forces, activated in youth like wild water. One must consciously calm these negative emotions through breath and reflection, fostering humbleness over destructive ego. Good guidance is essential for navigating this energy toward wisdom and harmony. "Orange color means the energy is awakened. Orange color means fire." "Humans are here to give, not to take." Filming location: Prague, Czech Republic

Khatu Pranam is a capsule program

This capsule program addresses the modern desire for a condensed spiritual practice. People seek a minimized, efficient solution like a multivitamin. Khatu Praṇām is presented as such a capsule. It provides physical benefit by promoting healthy organs and improving circulation. Activating glands and organs improves the immunity system. A strong immunity helps the body fight diseases. A healthy body leads to a more stable mind, developing concentration and memory. Spiritually, it affects the chakras, the energy centers. As the Khatu Praṇām of Mahāprabhujī, it offers a direct connection. Thus, it is one complete capsule offering physical, mental, and spiritual benefit. "They ask for yoga as a capsule program, a capsule." "Khatu Praṇām is a capsule program for you: a physical benefit, a mental benefit, and a spiritual benefit—one in all and all in one." Filming location: Prague, Czech Republic

God loves you as you are

You are not defined by negative qualities; you are the light of God, seeking happiness like all beings. The human distinction is intellect, which can be educated endlessly. Through it, we understand we are not sinners; mistakes arise from ignorance, which is not our fault. God loves you unconditionally, as a mother loves her child even when it kicks. Do not fear punishment; God welcomes you as you are. Our duty is to love and protect, not destroy. Differences in religion or status are human constructs; true unity comes from respecting all paths. Realize your aim through love, removing all obstacles between you and the divine. "Come to me as you are; I welcome you as you are. Do not think that you are holy or a sinner, or bad or good." "God will never punish us. God will love us always, as He is loving. Who is punishing us is our own stupidity." Filming location: Prague, Czech Republic

The Day of Holy Guruji's Holy Incarnation

Spiritual birth arises from a lineage of grace cultivated through lifetimes of austerity, devotion, and renunciation. Tapasyā is the disciplined, humble life of prayer and kindness, forging a heart ready to give everything. Such spiritual souls incarnate into families where parents, through many generations, embody this devotion without ego or selfishness. It is rare to attain human life, rarer still to find spiritual parents, inspiration, and a true master. Meeting these conditions signifies one is already self-realized. One must then continue as destined, multiplying this spiritual inheritance. However, progress requires relinquishing negative qualities like gossip, jealousy, and anger. Failure to do so leads to lower births, as actions, thoughts, and speech determine future states. Therefore, practice humility and kindness, offering genuine support while avoiding misguided advice unless one is self-realized. "Blessed is that country, fortunate is that land where Satguru Dev is incarnated." "If one meets all this, one is already self-realized." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

The rules are for the fools

Rules are for fools. Someone shared a critique: many rules exist, yet many do not follow them. Another stated, "The rules are for the fools." This is perfect wisdom. For those who behave properly, rules are unnecessary. Rules are created for fools. Initially, a warning is given: "Don't do that." After repeated warnings, a law must be established. The critique was shared openly to avoid gossip. The original speaker of the phrase remains unknown, though they introduced themselves. "The rules are for the fools." "For those who behave properly, for them, it is not rules." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Spiritual Health

Spiritual health is the foundation of human life, avoiding fanaticism and misuse of spiritual achievement. It means not fighting other groups or creating fantasies of godhood. Humans uniquely understand God and problems, unlike animals who cannot avoid them. All world conflict stems from differing beliefs where each wants universal acceptance of their own. We must create tolerance, support others, and not take their beliefs away. Practice meditation, mantras, and embody non-violence, respect, and forgiveness. Think carefully before speaking to avoid hurting others. This health leads to spiritual development and self-realization, achieved through yoga and dedicated living. "Spiritual health means practicing meditation, mantras, and prayers, and practicing in life ahiṃsā (non-violence), tolerance, respect, understanding, and forgiveness." "All the problems in the world—the fighting and war—are actually caused by differing beliefs." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

What is Yoga in Daily Life?

Yoga is the balancing principle of the universe and the foundation of human existence. It is union and harmony, present in all creative thought and action toward realization. Human intellect requires the education of yoga, beginning with basic principles like health and non-violence. This noble way of living is the kindergarten before a long journey of spiritual schooling. True inquiry into the self begins only after mastering these foundational principles. The Bhagavad Gītā illustrates this path, where even a close disciple must practice yoga to attain the consciousness of divinity. Our condition is knowing the self is divine yet not trusting it, remaining on the surface of feeling and knowledge. Civilization cannot exist without this integrating principle. Daily yoga means living by its laws for all twenty-four hours. Speaking, hearing, or seeing negative words destroys one's inner spirit and causes long suffering. The practice protects the self and environment, aiming to transform human into divine. It is a complete system for rescuing beings by offering kindness, understanding, and freedom, countering a world poisoned by negativity. "The whole world, and especially humans, cannot exist or cannot have social life, or they cannot be civilized without yoga." "Do not speak bad, do not hear bad, and do not see the bad." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

The Deep Practice of Relaxation

True relaxation requires harmonizing body, breath, and mind, which are often in conflict. Outer relaxation involves the limbs and creating distance from the world. Inner relaxation, more essential, stems from renunciation—detaching from problematic thoughts. This is difficult but achievable by not fixating on thoughts and consciously rejecting them. Systematic practice begins by making oneself comfortable and closing the eyes, detaching awareness from the external world. One then withdraws further, relaxes the entire body, and focuses on relaxing the breath. Feeling the trunk expand and contract with the breath induces deep calm. The conclusion involves reawakening awareness through breath and sound. Relaxation is therapeutic, alleviating physical tensions and psychic problems. A quicker method is stretching to release blocked energy and allow fresh blood flow. "Inner relaxation cannot take place unless you have learned to give up." "The most significant part of relaxation takes place with the breath." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

What is Yoga?

Yoga is the principle that unites space and consciousness. The universe is endless space, Brahman, filled with universal consciousness. The balance maintaining equilibrium between this cosmic body and its conscious embryo, Hiraṇyagarbha, is yoga. This balance manifests as harmony, resulting in unity—the union of individual and cosmic self. The obstacles to this unity are your own negative thoughts and qualities. They are personal, like bubbles on water, unreal yet they create suffering by projecting your own reflection. Only you can remove these obstacles. The master can try to help, but you must choose to stand. Therefore, physical exercises alone are not yoga's essence without changing your inner attitude. "Yoga means a balancing principle. The manifestation of this balance is harmony, and the result of harmony is unity." "Your physical problems, your emotional problems—everything is a projection from your mind." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Hatha Yoga - Nauli

Agnisāra and Nauli are powerful yogic kriyās for health and longevity. Practice Agnisāra daily on an empty stomach with external breath retention, moving the abdomen in and out to purify the digestive fire and clear bodily blockages. Nauli involves churning the stomach muscles in four directions: right to left, left to right, up to down, and down to up. Mastering these practices over time leads to formidable digestion and eliminates concerns about weight. These techniques promise a long, healthy life free from modern ailments, as illustrated by a 136-year-old man in perfect health. Aspiring yoga teachers must master all variations within three years. "You can definitely dedicate one minute to your good health." "If you can master these Nauli practices, you can digest iron beans." Filming location: Czech Republic

Hatha Yoga - Basti

Basti and Śaṅkha Prakṣālana are advanced yogic cleanses for the intestinal system. Basti uses naulī to draw and expel water through the anus, cleansing more effectively than a standard enema. Śaṅkha prakṣālana, named for the conch's winding path, cleanses the entire 8.4-meter intestinal tract. Long intestines are for vegetarians by nature, so meat consumption is inadvisable as retained food causes disease. This practice should be done four times yearly under guidance, aligning with seasonal changes in the body. Post-cleanse, avoid meat and eggs for at least 35 days; some traditions advise 90 days of abstaining from meat, fish, eggs, and alcohol. For one week after, avoid raw food, limit alcohol, excessive citrus, and reduce coffee and tea—taking them with milk to neutralize effects. "Performing śaṅkha prakṣālana every three months is highly advisable." "Avoid meat and eggs for at least 35 days." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Hatha Yoga - Dhauti

We learn the cleansing practices of neti and dhauti. Neti involves rinsing the nasal passages with warm salt water, creating a good feeling for the day and aiding sleep. Applying a little oil in the nostrils afterward can protect against allergies. Dhauti refers to internal cleaning. Jaladhauti, or kunjal kriyā, is done on an empty stomach by quickly drinking warm salt water and then expelling it to purify the stomach channels; it should be done weekly, not daily, and avoided by those with high eye pressure, certain diabetic eye conditions, or hernias. Sutradhauti involves swallowing a long, soaked linen cloth and then pulling it out to clean the digestive tract; it should also be done infrequently. These practices, along with prāṇāyāma, are beneficial for conditions like asthma and mucus, as prāṇāyāma expands the lungs and increases oxygen absorption. A diet of fresh fruits and vegetables is recommended for their life energy, supporting a vegetarian principle of ahiṃsā. "It is very, very good. Sometimes it is not good for those who have a hernia, because the pressure also disturbs the hernia." "Fruit and vegetables are still living; they have fresh energy. It is a life energy, and this is very important for us." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Swamiji's closing speach at the Youth Conference 2006

The duty of juniors is to receive wisdom and become the light for the world. The time of seniors is passing, and their wisdom must be left for the future. The modern world faces deep suffering: refugees are abused, families are destroyed, and violence affects all life. Humans possess intellect and the power to act, which carries the duty of non-violence. True peace begins within one's own heart; it is time to act from that place. The young are attentive and think of the future; they must not remain small. Great beings all began small; you must continue your work. "The flame spoke to the sun: 'Don’t worry. I will try. I can’t be the sun, but I will give light to the world.'" "Charity begins at home. Peace begins from your own heart. So it is time to act, not just to sit and observe." Filming location: Zlin, Czech Republic

Swamiji's opening speach at the Youth Conference 2006

The future depends on educating youth in wisdom, love, and environmental care. Current education lacks spiritual and ethical foundations, leading to conflict and ecological crisis. Parents and teachers hold responsibility for shaping the coming generation. Sustainable peace requires imparting values of tolerance, respect, and forgiveness. Practical actions like planting trees and protecting water are essential. Knowledge must be shared before it is lost. A sustainable future is not built on pollution, weapons, or war, but on clean water and a pure world passed to children. "Please pass over to us the flame of wisdom before you go away from this world. Do not let us stand empty-handed in the darkness." "If we cannot offer them more, then we shall offer them at least one glass of clean water." Filming location: Zlin, Czech Republic

Hatha Yoga - Tratak

This is a guide to the Trāṭaka practice of gazing at a flame. Prepare by sitting upright with eyes closed. Relax the entire body completely from toes to head. Become aware of the natural breath without changing its rhythm. Maintain absolute physical stillness. Open the eyes only when instructed to gaze solely at the flame's brightest part. Observe the flame's colors without blinking, allowing any eye discomfort as purification. Then close the eyes and gaze at the inner flame perceived in the Cidākāśa, the space of consciousness at the brow center. Observe this inner light without trying to grasp it. Mentally repeat the mantra. Subsequent rounds involve gazing at the external flame, absorbing it within, and uniting with its divine light to illuminate the entire inner space, awakening the inner consciousness. "Become one with the flame." "Lead us from the darkness to the light." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Hatha Yoga - Neti & Kapalbhati

Netī is a nasal cleansing practice in Haṭha Yoga. The nose filters air, trapping dust with moisture and fine hairs. Netī cleanses like clearing a pipe, using salt water to prevent irritation and aid cleaning. The water should be slightly warmer than body temperature. This process gently massages nerves connected to the eyes and nasal system. Sūtra netī uses a waxed cotton string or catheter passed through the nostrils for deeper cleansing. Always use personal equipment. After netī, one must perform Kapālabhāti to expel residual water from the sinuses. Incorrect practice can force water into the forehead, causing headaches. Exhale through the nose with abdominal pressure while inhaling only through the mouth. Perform it with each nostril individually. Do not confuse it with Bhastrikā. Practice netī in the morning before breakfast or in the evening at least two hours before sleep to allow sinuses to dry. Daily practice benefits the ears, eyes, nose, throat, and respiratory system. "If there is too much salt, it will burn. If there is no salt, it will also burn." "Inhale through the mouth and exhale through the nose, generating pressure from the abdominal muscles." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Hatha Yoga

Haṭha Yoga is the union of willpower and the body's subtle channels. The term haṭha signifies the will to achieve, illustrated by four types: a child's persistence, a woman's determination, a ruler's command, and a yogī's self-reliant resolve. True will is lost upon dependence. Anatomically, ha represents the Iḍā nāḍī and ṭha the Piṅgalā nāḍī. Yoga is their union and balance, achieved by purifying these channels to awaken the central Suṣumṇā. Modern practice misidentifies āsana and prāṇāyāma as Haṭha Yoga; these are components of Rāja Yoga. Authentic Haṭha Yoga comprises the six purificatory kriyās—Netī, Dhautī, Bastī, Naulī, Trāṭaka, and Kapālabhāti—which rejuvenate the body and awaken the triṇāḍī system. "As soon as you depend on someone or something, your will is lost." "When these two nerves get balanced, harmonized, and unite, that union is known as yoga." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Bhakta and Bhagawan

Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa are an inseparable union. Without Rādhā, Kṛṣṇa is half, for the devotee and God are the same. Where there are no devotees, God feels lonely and questions His manifestation. With the devotee present, He is happy and performs His divine play. A story illustrates Kṛṣṇa's omnipresence with all devotees. A man verified this by finding Kṛṣṇa uniquely present in every gopī's room. Yet one gopī, consumed by jealousy, felt abandoned and had not seen Him. Such a mental tendency creates loneliness and self-torture. All are one as beautiful devotees in various relationships. Be happy and relaxed without tension. "Where God is, devotees are. Where there are no devotees, God is so lonely." "If you have such a vṛtti, then you are lonely. You are torturing yourself." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Candles on your birthday cake

The candle and cake tradition is a mistaken symbol that harms life. The candle represents your life; blowing it out shortens your life. The cake symbolizes your body and also life itself; cutting it severs your life's rope. This custom is not from ancient European or Indian culture but a recent development followed blindly. From a health perspective, one should prepare nourishing foods like milk rice with nuts and honey on a birthday. Ancient Vedic culture speaks of increasing and completeness, blessing long and healthy life, not extinguishing it. "The candle on the cake symbolizes your life, and the cake symbolizes your body." "And the cake is life, and never cut your life with a knife." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

mantra OM SRI GURU DIPAYA NAMAH

Om is the cosmic sound, the origin and essence of all creation. Everything emerges from Om, exists within it, and merges back into it. This sound is the form of the Supreme, present in every atom and cell. Śrī represents wealth, prosperity, and the principle of Lakṣmī. Guru is the eternal principle of consciousness that leads from the darkness of ignorance to the light of knowledge. This Guru Tattva is the light of wisdom and love. Namaḥ signifies salutation and a humble request for guidance. Reciting this mantra grants happiness, prosperity, and wisdom, freeing one from suffering and negativity. "Guh is darkness, and Ruh is light. The principle that leads us from darkness to light is the Guru." "Namaḥ means my salutation, my adoration, my prayers, my request, my humility." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Rakshabandhan - the day of honour, dignity and respect for the women

The sacred duty and dignity of women is foundational for society. The primary issue is that women do not respect themselves, allowing their dignity to be compromised for commercial purposes. When women reclaim self-respect, men will follow, as they inherently respect women. A woman's rightful and respected place is as the home minister, cultivating the family's healthy roots. Society's health depends on mothers being present at home to guide children. The traditional dynamic involves the husband earning and giving all money to his wife with complete trust, never questioning its use, while she manages all affairs and upholds the family's dignity. Do not fight for equality; women already hold a higher position—80% of family life rests with the mother. By seeking high positions outside, women risk losing their essential role at home. Women must unite to educate future generations, as mothers and teachers shape the world's future. Mothers have the power to protect humanity from drugs, crime, and war by instilling moral principles. In our tradition, the feminine is named first, as in Lakṣmī Nārāyaṇa, signifying her primacy. Do not give children violent toys; they need love and wisdom, not mere money. The concept of earning and saving solely for children is flawed. Be present with your children today, for they learn from you. Women must awaken to their sacred duty. "Ladies should have a comfortable, happy, and respected place at home and stay at home. They are known as the home minister." "The future of tomorrow is in the hands of women. They have to begin to educate the children from the beginning now." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Asana

Āsana holds multiple meanings beyond physical postures. Your mat or blanket is your personal āsana, a seat holding your energy. Your bed or residence can also be termed an āsana. Fundamentally, āsana signifies any comfortable resting posture. It is said there are 8.4 million postures as there are creatures; major ones are adapted from nature, like the cat stretch. Every posture and movement practically influences the body's joints, muscles, and internal systems. Your heart, a faithful servant, never rests. Every āsana affects your breathing; value this breath, as a fish suffers out of water. "Whether it is plastic or any other material upon which you sit or practice your yoga exercises, this is called your āsana." "Āsana means a comfortable position or a movement where your body feels good." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Free yourself from the attachment

Attachment creates bondage, while love brings freedom. The idea of complete renunciation is often misunderstood. True practice must be integrated into one's current life. A story illustrates this peril. A sage rescued and raised an orphaned deer, becoming deeply attached. Upon his death, his constant thoughts of the deer caused his soul to be reborn as that deer's fawn. Reborn as the deer, he realized his error: attachment had caused his animal rebirth. He prayed for liberation. This shows how attachment, distinct from love, binds the soul. Like a bird that nurtures its young then lets them fly, duty must be fulfilled without clinging. Attachment is a chain, like a cow tied in a burning stall, causing inner suffering. You may provide education and support, but you cannot control another's destiny. After a point, you must grant freedom. This applies to family, friends, and all beings. What you think is yours is not; true freedom comes from releasing this ignorance. "Where there is attachment, there is unhappiness. And where there is love, there is happiness." "You think it is your responsibility. It is not your responsibility. You have done everything you could." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Sankalpa

The power of a firm spiritual resolution is essential for achievement. A saṅkalpa is a deep, long-term commitment, not a fleeting thought. Its strength determines success, as seen in arduous physical journeys requiring immense will. This same principle applies to the spiritual path; many begin but lack the unwavering certainty to continue. True devotion is not merely about outward practice but about a state of profound, natural belief and being sure. Do not approach the divine with intellectual conditions or challenges, a tendency often observed. Setting such barriers creates obstacles. One must accept outcomes with equanimity, remaining happy regardless. The key is to surrender this conditional mindset. "First, you must be sure." "If it will be, it will be; if not, it will not be. In both conditions, remain happy." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

To Yoga Teachers

Wisdom is transmitted through the master's spoken word, Śruti, and the disciple's memory, Smṛti. Authenticity requires the consensus of many disciples, empowered by the master's blessing. Without this grace, knowledge dries out, attacked by doubts and negative thoughts. To receive blessing, one must be a pure vessel, free from jealousy and anger. Purity attracts grace as a butterfly is drawn to real flowers. Ancient oral traditions were later preserved in writings spanning millennia. In the current age, external reality remains unchanged; only human attitudes have shifted, causing suffering. Seek truth, not material opinions. Constant motivation requires positive association and universal love, not criticism. Spirituality is for the selected, not the elected. Teaching is a divine duty of transmitting spiritual light, requiring complete personal purification. "Many yugas passed while reading many books, but no one became wise. Wise is the one who reads two and a half letters, which are called love." "Gurudeva binā kara jana yā sare. Gurudeva binākāra koṭi upayakāre." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Midlife crisis

Life is an impermanent, flowing illusion, and our dissatisfaction arises from resisting its natural change. We become angry, feeling trapped by circumstances like marriage, believing we have lost our dreams. Yet life is meant to flow like water, which stays fresh only when moving. Imagine sitting on a train, watching landscapes pass; this is the beautiful, transient movie of existence. Do not lament what you could not do. Prepare for the next life to fulfill those wishes, but you still have time here. The essential task is to begin your spiritual path, for a life without remembrance of the divine is profoundly deficient. It is never too late to start. "Oh my mind, your whole life is gone till now without God's name, without spiritual life, but now at least you begin to remember God and repeat His name." "Without the name of God, this life is incomplete and not good." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Don

The urgency of spiritual practice is now, not in an imagined future. Do not assume a better time will come; the best time is this moment. Tomorrow is never seen. Life is uncertain, and destiny is fixed, yet we are endowed with intellect to choose wisely. Do not lose the diamond of human life for fleeting temptations. Merely eating and sleeping makes one little different from an animal. Therefore, practice yoga and follow spiritual principles in daily life. Do not wait for retirement or perfect conditions, for such dreams are bubbles. Awaken now and live the teachings without fanaticism. Think globally, for the planet is one village. Do not discriminate or claim ownership through greed; live in harmony with all creatures. Simplicity is key, avoiding the swing from austerity to excessive accumulation. Begin with simple disciplines, like washing hands before and after eating, to cultivate purity and respect. "What you have to do tomorrow, do it today. And what you have to do today, do it just now." "We have enough in this world for our need, but not for our greed." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Yogic principles

Satsaṅg and an integrated yoga practice are essential. Never miss satsaṅg; it must hold the first place in life. Yoga is the universal balancing principle for the body, mind, and all relationships. Ancient scriptures describe yogic disciplines like trust, meditation, and compassion, which are present in all religions. Yoga was later divided into branches like Karma, Bhakti, Jñāna, and Rāja Yoga, all described in texts like the Bhagavad Gītā. Karma means all action; even inaction is a form of action. Selfless service, or Karma Yoga, requires love, making it incomplete without Bhakti Yoga. It also requires discipline and knowledge, linking it to Rāja and Jñāna Yoga. All four branches are interconnected and essential; claiming only one leads to a mistake. True knowledge manifests as great practice in all branches. Even Haṭha Yoga requires these four parts. One lives for the benefit of all. Failure in practice stems from doubts, anger, and selfishness. "Your sādhanā and your satsaṅg must hold the first place in your life." "All these four branches of yoga are connected to each other." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Wisdom has no end

Reality exists independent of belief, like the sun shining regardless of opinion. Spiritual pursuit is often misdirected toward endless learning or the temptation of miraculous powers, which are illusions that divert from the true path. The direct realization of the Self and God-consciousness is the only essential knowledge; all other learning is secondary. A genuine spiritual connection, once found, ends the search. Intellectual knowledge is limitless, like a mountain, while true wisdom is a direct knowing of the one reality. "Now I know that I don’t know." "What you have learned till today about Vedas and spirituality... is only this much, as much as a sand corn." Filming location: Banska Bystrica, Slovakia

Heart of the Saint

A saint is defined by a large heart, not external roles. I observed an elderly woman braving deep snow and cold to feed birds on a riverbank, a pure act of selfless karma. In the stark black-and-white winter landscape, a couple in a tiny hut demonstrated this saintly heart. Despite his wife's protests, the husband welcomed a freezing donkey, a lost traveler, more men, a grandmother with a child, a deer, and finally a bear family into their 8-square-meter space. His compassion was so vast he stepped outside himself, praying for a heart large enough to welcome all. This is the heart of a yogī. In contrast, some here, claiming to be spiritual disciples, refused to share available space with others in need. Such possessiveness, far from non-violence, shows greed and envy. Reading books or performing rituals without cultivating a consciousness of kindness, friendship, and oneness is not true yoga. Your spiritual progress is zero if you lack this expansive heart. Do not just recite "I am Divine"; purify your consciousness and be kind. What you think returns to you. "To feed these birds or such creatures is the best karma. This action can only be done by a pure soul." "He said, 'Lord, you gave me so big a heart, but too small a heart. Next time, next winter, please give me a big heart so I can welcome all.'" The God Consciousness

True spiritual progress unfolds through innocent devotion and grace. A farmer attended teachings without grasping concepts, yet faithfully requested a mantra. He initially saw the master as merely a bull, then a talker, a wise man, and finally a holy being. Through simple repetition and honest reflection, his perception purified over years. He ultimately realized everything was the Guru's grace, the very movement of God. This conscious recognition alone dispels ignorance. Life decreases each moment; do not postpone practice. You perceive only what your consciousness holds. Develop God consciousness. "Not a leaf of the tree can move without your kṛpā, and that’s called God." "You can only see God if you have God consciousness." Filming location: Banska Bystrica, Slovakia

The Miracle of Prāṇa

The miracle of life is prāṇa, found in the inhalation and exhalation. Seek not in the external world of tension and competition, but within the peaceful breath. This prāṇa is the cosmic energy nourishing all living beings. Its regulation through prāṇāyāma is the core of yoga, enabling profound health and the burning of karma. This sacred science originated with Śiva, transmitted through Pārvatī and later sages like Patañjali, who systematized it. Modern interpretations often fragment yoga, losing its essence. A true, systematic practice requires a guide to avoid damage and demands personal discipline. Through dedicated prāṇāyāma, the mind calms, leading towards samādhi, where one transcends dualities like heat and cold. "Where are you searching for me? You will find me nowhere. My residence is in the forest, not in the city." "Through the prāṇāyāma technique, you can prolong your credit with high interest. The interest is very high, and when you see the interest, you will be very happy, because interest is more than capital." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

The Four Principles

Teaching yoga is a profound act of selfless service. A teacher's effectiveness diminishes with self-interest, as they lose their essential quality and others' respect. The system's founders sought only human well-being, for human harmony dictates nature's harmony. The unguided human intellect is the planet's most dangerous force, easily educated toward saintliness or destruction, with all actions arising from the conditioned subconscious. The ṛṣis gave spiritual science freely, like God gave the elements. To help others, one must possess a divine conscience that quits self-interest. A teacher must first embody four principles: vairāgya (detachment and seeing equality), tyāga (renunciation of personal interest), dhyāna, and bhakti. Renunciation is the sole gate to the divine. A teacher represents complete wisdom but must first be a supatra, a worthy vessel, to receive and multiply the teaching. This role transcends physical instruction, requiring jñāna (wisdom utilized for oneself) to avoid being like an animal. Bhakti is feeling another's pain as your own. Realizing these four principles makes one a receptive vessel. "Enter the kingdom of God through the gate of sacrifice." "Renounce and enjoy." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic
