Prayer is a universal necessity for human survival and spiritual purification. All holy incarnations and saints across the world engage in prayer, which sustains the world. Prayer transforms a person and purifies the inner instrument—the mind, intellect, consciousness, and ego. Daily prayer keeps this inner instrument clean, leading to pure thoughts and actions. Even animals are said to sing God's name, so humans must pray or be worse. The specific religion or language does not matter; prayer must come from the heart, not the intellect, as heart-centered messages create unity while intellect-centered ones lead to conflict. One must make time for prayer regardless of busyness, as we would not want God to have no time for us. Prayer can be done during any activity, though a peaceful moment is ideal. It is the source of strength, protection, and liberation, with the mantra being its essence. The highest principle is non-violence and compassion toward all creatures. God is omnipresent, in every atom, which presents a dilemma for understanding.
"Prayer comes first. Every religion has prayers, and prayer can be in any language, but it must come from the heart, not merely from the intellect, for the heart is paramount."
"Therefore, ahiṃsā paramo dharma—the highest religion, the highest principle, is ahiṃsā, non-violence."
