World Peace Forum 2003 Message from President Mesic

The present era presents humanity with a unique chance to resolve its persistent antagonisms. The singular answer, distilled from centuries of wisdom, is to follow the path of everlasting peace and tolerance among all people. This peace leads to knowledge, respect for diversity, and ultimate harmony for all living beings. The work of the spiritual teacher in promoting these ideas globally for decades is deeply admired. The host country honors its role in past peace initiatives and workshops on planetary sustainability, fully embracing the Gandhian message for mankind. "The only and ultimate answer, reached after centuries of historic wisdom, is to follow the path of everlasting peace and tolerance among people, races, and religions." "I convey to you my deepest respect and expressions of thanks for your contribution to peace and tolerance, the two greatest tasks for our planet." Filming location: Sydney, Australia

Family

A happy family is essential to prevent children from making mistakes. We are divided, separated by work and technology. Even at home, family members are isolated in their rooms with televisions and computers. We must begin to create a happy family. One suggestion is to invite friends over once a week. Sit together, eat something, and speak. It does not require elaborate preparations; keep it simple. The goal is to create friendly, healthy, happy, and harmonious relations. "Even at home, there are five family members, everyone has in their bedrooms their televisions and their computers, and again they are divided." "Once a week invite all your friends to your home and sit together, eat something, and speak." Filming location: Sydney, Australia

Nature

True harmony arises from self-awareness and recognizing our fundamental unity with nature and each other. Environmental protection begins with self-awareness, which fosters harmony with nature and a deeper understanding of ourselves and our neighbors. Conflict persists over culture, religion, and nationality, yet the core messages across all faiths originate from the same divine source, making such strife senseless. Historically, leaders welcomed immigrants with pride, while those losing people pleaded for them to stay, highlighting the need to understand others' perspectives. We must not view the world as only our own country. Just as a person relies on a chair's unseen legs, our entire planet is an interconnected whole we must not divide, lest we all fall. "Consider my chair where I am sitting... If these legs break, I will fall down." "If we look into the holy books of every religion... what their prophet, God, incarnation, or holy man says is fundamentally the same—there is no difference." Filming location: Sydney, Australia

Prayer is stronger than guns

The power of prayer and meditation is far stronger than that of guns. The world is in a state of conflict, but the real war is within the human mind. External weapons cannot solve this internal struggle. True peace begins with individual transformation through prayer and meditation. These practices connect us to a higher power, purifying our consciousness and aligning our will with divine will. This inner change radiates outward, influencing our environment and others. It is a silent, potent force that disarms hatred and fosters genuine understanding. When we cultivate this inner peace, we become instruments of peace in the world. This is the only sustainable solution to violence. Relying on physical force only perpetuates the cycle. The ultimate victory is won on the battlefield of the mind. "Prayer and meditation are the most powerful weapons for peace." "The real war is not outside; it is within our own minds." Filming location: Melbourne, Australia

Love removes fear

The human body is a vessel for awakening compassion through our inherent qualities. We are fortunate to obtain this form, given to help, protect, and guide others to God through love. Our heart is like an ocean: surface waves of worldly thoughts exist, but profound calm lies within. This inner tranquility arises from practicing our God-given human qualities. Utilizing them frees life from fear; neglecting them breeds anxiety and restlessness. Our being has real and unreal aspects. In the real, we cultivate love—thinking positively and wishing well for all. This love means contributing to others' happiness and never being the cause of their tears. Practicing this dissolves inner fear. "Baḍā bhāga manuṣa tanu pāvā"—we are the fortunate ones to have obtained a human body. "Sarve bhavantu sukhinaḥ"—may all be happy. Cause of suffering

We suffer from a cycle of forgotten causes. We experience suffering as a reaction to a past action we no longer remember. Each reaction then becomes a new action, creating further reactions. We are lost, unable to distinguish if our present state is an original cause or a mere effect. This incomprehensible suffering always has a reason, but its root cause is not immediately knowable. That deep, original cause lies far behind any apparent reason. No external person can provide this answer. The discovery of the primal cause is an internal process. It is only through turning inward in meditation that this truth can be uncovered. The Self alone can trace the chain back to its source. "Every action has a reaction. We have forgotten the original action and do not understand the reaction we now experience." "Only the Self, through meditation, can discover what that original cause might be." War within

Spiritual health is founded on universal respect and inner peace. True well-being requires respecting all religions, cultures, and nations, wishing for the happiness of others as for our own. The ancient wisdom declares the whole world is one family. When we see everyone as brothers and sisters, there is no one to fight. The conflicts we see externally originate from the war within ourselves. The primary happiness is a healthy body, but lasting happiness comes from inner contentment. Poverty is defined by endless wanting, while true richness is freedom from desire and longing. The root of all distraction and conflict is the ego, the sense of "I" and "my." "First happiness is your healthy body, and then it is 'the person who is satisfied inside is ever happy.'" "The poor are those who want to have more and more. The rich are those who don't want it, without longing, without desire." Filming location: Wellington, New Zealand

How to celebrate Shivaratri

Observing Śivarātri involves specific rituals of fasting, prayer, and offering. Fast on the day before the festival. In the evening, perform Śiva āratī and chant His name. If you have a Śivaliṅgam, perform an abhiṣeka by pouring a mixture of milk and water over it. While doing this, repeat the Mahāmṛtyuñjaya Mantra 108 times. After the pūjā, you may consume the sanctified food offering. The instructions contain some practical ambiguities regarding the calendar date and procedural clarity. "Oṃ Tryambakaṃ Yajāmahe Sugandhiṃ Puṣṭi Vardhanam, Urvārukamiva Bandhanān Mṛtyor Mukṣīya Mā'mṛtāt. Oṃ Namaḥ Śivāya." "And then in the morning, or after the pūjā, you can take the prasāda." Think and know thyself!

A parable illustrates the conflict between intellect and mind, leading to suffering through indulgence. The grandfather represents intellect, and the demanding child represents the mind. Each time the child desires something, like ice cream or chips, it threatens to expose the grandfather's mistake of buying a cheaper half-ticket for a child who actually requires a full fare. The grandfather, fearing a fine, repeatedly gives in to the demands to avoid exposure. This cycle symbolizes how the mind's desires force the intellect into compromises, creating a costly journey through successive births, which are like stations. We are aware of our mistakes but are not yet perfect in action. Therefore, we must follow the teachings of great saints to overcome the illusions of Māyā, which repeatedly hinders spiritual progress, and to understand the true purpose of human life beyond animal existence. "The grandfather said, 'Yes, there is a problem; I made a mistake.'" "Therefore, think: what is the human? What makes a human? Why are you born as a human?" Filming location: Hungary

Consequences depend on actions

The core mistake is celebrating a master's image while refusing to follow their direct command. A master with back pain ordered his disciple to step on him. The disciple refused, citing the master's holy body and his own sinful impurity, rejecting all practical solutions. The master concluded the disciple would not obey the Guru Vakya. We make the same error with spiritual figures, venerating their image while ignoring their teachings like "Thou shalt not kill." We fabricate narratives from our own weakness, desire, ambition, or ego. We suffer life after life due to such mistakes. There is no divine guarantee of human rebirth; the only universal law is karma: "Jaisā karegā, vaisā bharegā"—as you act, so you will receive. This life is given to correct ourselves. We must follow the Guru's word precisely; only then comes the Guru's grace, and liberation is under that grace. "You will only celebrate the photo of the master, but not follow what the master said." "Jaisā karegā, vaisā bharegā"—whatever you will do, according to that you will get back. Filming location: Hungary

Joint family

The mind creates our reality and our problems, yet we find strength in spiritual community. Coming together in a joint family provides motivation, energy, and protection. Daily exercise and prāṇāyāma are essential for meditation, where concentrating on inner bliss dissolves mental fluctuations. The world is created by your mind. A problem only exists if you think it does. The joint family, like a fist made from individual fingers, is the beauty and joy of life, offering an umbrella of care. Without unity, there is only problem. Modern individualism and manipulation through technology and food have eroded the strength of dedication and the human principles that bind such families. Dedicate yourself and be strict; faithfulness to yourself requires the strength to endure. Where there is a true joint family, conflict ceases. "If you think there is a problem, there is a problem. And if you think there is no problem, there is no problem." "The whole family is the beauty of life. It is the joy of life. It is a protection; it is like an umbrella over you, because they do care for you." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

30 years of Yoga in Daily Life in Czech and Slovak Republic

This is a historical time of spiritual transmission under changing conditions. Travel was once restricted, yet the teacher's resolve was to arrive only after a political system fell. This resolve was fulfilled, and entry was granted. An early journey was undertaken despite warnings against speaking of divinity. The first gathering in that land contained the seeds for future growth. Over decades, many thousands received initiation and practice. The message has reached a significant portion of the population. Many lives have been touched, though circumstances for individuals vary. "What you think impossible, Gurudev can make impossible. And what you think is possible, he can make impossible." "They are the seeds, and you are the fruits." Filming location: Czech Republic

New Year

A spiritual reckoning requires honest self-reflection on the past year's thoughts, habits, and behavior toward all beings. We must discern which actions were selfless and spiritual versus those driven by selfishness. Examine if you damaged or built bridges of connection with others and your spiritual path. Assess your dedication to prayer and meditation against time wasted. The past is fixed, but we can resolve to improve. Make a resolve to be honest, faithful, loving, and to relinquish ego, hatred, and jealousy. Our inner, hidden qualities define us; using them with compassion, love, and forgiveness makes us truly human and leads us upward. You are your own liberator, protector, and leader. Learn with love and heart, for wisdom brings humility, which is essential for spiritual entry. We must bow down our ego to enter the divine gate. "Within this body, there are hidden qualities; this is hidden power, and it can be developed and utilized for good things or for bad." "The wiser you become, the humbler you become. And it is only humbleness which lets you go through." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Mahaprabhuji's Mahasamadhi anniversary

All who come into this world must depart, taking nothing. Before that departure, attain realization, which is elusive but crucial. Your destiny, shaped by karma, alone accompanies you. This body is a temporary instrument. Divine incarnations come by free will to liberate, while beings are born due to karma. Upon departure, the liberated become one with Brahman, the omnipresent reality without a second. Though they are everywhere, our limited consciousness perceives distance. The law of karma dictates that thoughts and actions toward them return corresponding qualities. Therefore, cultivate truth and goodness. The divine hears and sees all despite having no form. Serve all creatures to serve God. "All who come must go, be they a king, a beggar, or a fakir." "He has no ears, but He hears everything. He has no legs, but He is faster than anyone." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

The Path of the Heart: Beyond Intellect to Bhakti

Bhakti is the essential path to complete realization. Some claim meditation alone is sufficient, stating "I am That," but this realization is the culmination of liberation, not its substitute. True realization comes through love, which is bhakti. Intellectual study provides only conceptual knowledge, like understanding customs without feeling their meaning. Direct experience, like tasting food, cannot be translated into mere thought. Understanding and surrender arise from the heart, not endless debate. The intellect is useful for worldly life but cannot grasp ultimate reality, which requires practice, not just theory. The prescribed disciplines of Jñāna Yoga are themselves infused with and dependent upon bhakti. In this age, the practical and singular way is bhakti. "Complete realization comes through love, and that love is bhakti." "Tons of theory is nothing compared with a gram of practice." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Multiculture - understand it!

Understanding diversity is essential for unity. All global events stem from culture and religion. People often reject practices outside their own, asking, "Why should I do it? It's not my culture." This is a problem fueled by ignorance. Lack of education leads to discrimination against unfamiliar cultural symbols. Some places are now introducing laws for schools to properly teach about different cultures, not just one. A story illustrates this: when asked why India has many goddesses, the response was that a garden's beauty lies in its variety of flowers, not just one type. The world is now a small village needing unity, which requires understanding diversities. We must be informed and free in our choices. Discrimination persists based on "my religion, my tradition only." Differences, like how one eats, are superficial; the act of eating is what matters. We must respect our own culture but not discriminate against others. "If a garden has different kinds of flowers, that's the beauty of the garden." "Hands are clean." Peace

Śānti is peace, harmony, balance, and happiness. It is absent when the body is ill, a household member is unhappy, or even a pet is restless. Śānti depends on the peace of the entire interconnected system, just as a nation's peace depends on global harmony. The universe's system mirrors that of Earth. The ancient prayer calls for peace throughout the universe, the atmosphere, all planets, and on Earth itself. Chanting "Śānti" creates a vibration that releases tension from the head, relaxes the heart, and eases stomach cramps. This practice brings peace to the heart, aiding in decision-making. "Oṃ Dho Śānti Rantarikṣam. The first prayer is, 'Merciful Lord, maintain the peace in the universe, in the space.'" "Feel this vibration. It will be chanted like this: Oṃ Śānti." Filming location: Ljubljana, Slovenia

Life

Life is a mystery, and we exist simultaneously in the physical and astral worlds, though our awareness is confined to the physical, which provides a rest from astral distress. All existence involves activity, or kriyā. Humans possess intellect but have not mastered life, remaining afraid of birth and death due to ignorance. True knowledge, parāvidyā, overcomes fear, but this education is not found in schools; we must teach ourselves. We paradoxically know we are immortal yet live in ignorance, risking a life like Socrates's, ending only in realizing we do not know. We must pray and surrender to God, releasing fear. Our achievements and degrees are left behind; we face destiny alone. "Nor can this education be taught to us by someone. It is ourself who shall teach ourself." "Give your life in His hand, then why are you afraid?" Filming location: Kranj, Slovenia

Divali satsang, part 2

The narrative illustrates spiritual principles through key events from the Rāmāyaṇa. Bharata's rejection of the throne demonstrates true brotherhood, prioritizing dharma over power. A ferryman, fearing his boat would transform, tests the divine power by drinking water washed from Rāma's feet, then seeks liberation as his only payment. Rāma explains his exile is a blessing, fulfilling parental wishes, his father's promise, and granting time for spiritual visitation. Rāvaṇa's ego leads to deception; his uncle transforms into a golden deer to lure Rāma away. Sītā, insisting on having the deer, steps beyond a protective circle drawn by Lakṣmaṇa and is abducted by Rāvaṇa disguised as a holy man. Hanumān finds Sītā in Laṅkā and returns with news. An army builds a bridge of floating stones inscribed with Rāma's name to cross the ocean. After Rāvaṇa's defeat, Rāma's return to Ayodhyā is celebrated with lights and joy, commemorated as Dīpāvalī. "Please help me cross the ocean of māyā, the ocean of ignorance. Bring me to nirvāṇa, to mokṣa." "It is better to die. My beloved is only Rāma." Filming location: London, UK

Divali satsang, part 1

The story of Diwali is the story of light overcoming darkness, told through the exile of Rāma. Diwali signifies the light, the flame. An incarnation of Viṣṇu, Rāma, was born to King Daśaratha after a sacred fire ceremony. He grew to be a perfect embodiment of dharma. The sage Viśvāmitra requested young Rāma to protect his yajña from demonic Rākṣasas who polluted it with impurity. Though hesitant, Daśaratha ultimately consented. Rāma, accompanied by his devoted brother Lakṣmaṇa, protected the ceremony, allowing light to dispel the darkness. Later, Daśaratha prepared to crown Rāma king. However, jealousy arose through negative association. Kaikeyī's servant, Mantrā, poisoned her mind, convincing her to demand Daśaratha fulfill two old boons: to crown her son Bharata instead and to exile Rāma to the forest for fourteen years. The king, bound by his word, was heartbroken. The story illustrates how light, in the form of divine duty and righteousness, is tested by exile and intrigue but ultimately prevails. "God incarnates with many different purposes, as did God Rāma." "When the light comes, darkness disappears." Filming location: London, UK

Utilize your time

We have more than enough time in our day. No one can honestly claim they have no time. An alcoholic always finds time to drink; a smoker always finds time to smoke. We must check our time consciously. We divide 24 hours into sleep, work, and eight remaining hours. Yet, who consistently sleeps or works eight hours? We waste much time unaware. Therefore, we can take two hours from our day for spiritual and physical well-being. This practice is for your benefit, not mine. My duty is to inspire awareness. You gain if you practice; you lose nothing if you do not. I neither gain nor lose. "If you consciously and carefully check your time, you will be surprised at how much you have." "Therefore, we can take two hours from our 24 hours for our spiritual well-being and our physical well-being." Filming location: London, UK

Power Needs Control

Power requires control, or it will destroy you. A fearful mouse received blessings to become a dog, then a lion. Yet with each new form, its fear merely shifted to a larger predator. When the lion, excited by tasting the master's blood, threatened him, it was instantly reverted to a mouse and sent away. Unchecked power, like untamed senses or ambition, becomes dangerous. Spiritual education provides the necessary control. The freedom of others is their own karma to manage. "Sometimes, when you give too much freedom, beings become like a lion or a tiger. They forget your love, your kindness, your humbleness." "Therefore, power needs control. Otherwise, it can destroy you. Our sensual power, our indriyas, our mind, our habits, our ambitions, our desires, our greediness—all need to be controlled." Filming location: Budapest, Hungary

Karma is the Cause and the Result

The soul is beyond gender and form. The soul itself has no attributes; in the astral being, there is no man and no woman. To call God "He" is a mistake, as God is universal and without form. In Sanātana Dharma, women and men are equally respected as souls. Life is present everywhere, even in plants, which feel as humans and animals do. All life is dear, and God resides in the heart as formless love and compassion. The cycle of birth and death, driven by karma, is a dynamic process of action and reaction. This is called rebirth in spirituality and recycling in modern terms. Among 8.4 million creatures, human intellect is emphasized for its limitless and flexible nature. "God is without form—universal, cosmic, without form. Who is 'he'?" "Life is everywhere. Life is dear to everyone. And God is residing in our heart." Filming location: Budapest, Hungary

God Made World is Perfect

The world is marked by widespread discrimination and unrest, necessitating interfaith dialogue for unity. Human actions have created an imperfect world, leading to conflict and suffering, while the divine creation remains perfect. Despite every major religion's sacred texts advocating for peace, harmony, and the protection of life, these universal principles are not realized. The persistent global turmoil presents a contradiction between these shared teachings and the reality we experience. The core problem, therefore, lies not in the doctrines themselves but in their application and in human conduct outside these ideals. "Every religion said more or less the same thing. They all said that the main principles of their religions are peace, harmony, respect for life, not killing, and protecting the environment." "The God-made world is perfect, and the man-made world is imperfect, and that's a big problem." Filming location: Budapest, Hungary

All Should Be Happy - Let's Make Peace

True education must encompass the whole human being, not just worldly knowledge. Current education and society are governed by money, which causes conflict and a loss of humanity. All religions speak of peace, but reality shows fighting. We are born innocent, but worldly education shapes us; spiritual education is rare. Obtaining a human birth is rare, and having spiritual parents or innate spiritual tendencies is rarer still. Those with spiritual guidance are blessed to realize divine consciousness. The key difference from animals is that humans have forgotten natural law. We must return to universal consciousness and brotherhood, recognizing we are all made of the same elements. Greed creates problems, not need. Borders are created in the mind first. For world peace, we need health in all our bodies—physical, subtle, and causal—which begins with holistic education. "Mother Earth provides enough for every man's need, but not for every man's greed." "Health is not everything, but everything is nothing without health." Filming location: Budapest, Hungary

Satsang unites

Two distinct existences are defined by their incompatible qualities. Divine qualities are purity, light, and eternity. Individual qualities are anger, jealousy, and desire, which create separation. These qualities cannot mix; one identity must be surrendered. Through divine mercy, God incarnates. By keeping satsaṅg—association with the holy—the individual slowly merges into God, losing its own identity. Enlightenment is this merging, where the self is lost. All beings are part of a shared existence, like a river supporting life along its banks, yet constantly flowing toward the ocean. The destination is union. Satsaṅg is the rare and paramount duty, superseding all other tasks, for it aligns one with the holy current. "When I was there, He was not there. Now He is here, but I am not there." "Happiness is not impossible. Vaikuṇṭha, heaven, is not impossible... The rare thing is satsaṅg." Filming location: Budapest, Hungary

Open Your Heart - Don't be Fanatic

Satsaṅg is the sacred river of knowledge that washes away sins. It can be with a book, with oneself, or with a group, with the group being best. One should attend weekly satsaṅg and a larger monthly gathering. Otherwise, a life focused only on eating and sleeping wastes the human birth in a karmic disease of desire. Satsaṅg is the boat to cross life's ocean. Apply what is learned there by opening the heart, avoiding fanaticism, anger, and greed. This leads to salvation. The eager, divine waiting for the teacher's arrival is itself satsaṅg. Even a brief moment in the company of the wise purifies countless sins, as the Guru's word inevitably comes true. "One hour or half an hour... Even a quarter of a quarter hour, if you have a darśana and satsaṅg of a sādhu, it purifies the many, many lives’ sins." "Gurudeva brought the boat of the Gaṅgā, Satsaṅg, and He let us cross this ocean." Filming location: Budapest, Hungary

Yoga is the Balancing Principle

The universe is founded on three eternal principles: pure consciousness, the balancing energy of Shakti, and unifying love. This energy maintains cosmic and personal harmony, which is yoga. Love unites, while ignorance divides. Our aim is to merge with the divine by cultivating divine qualities, for individual traits persist even in apparent union. True oneness requires a complete transformation of our nature, not merely a change in form. This practice is ancient and central to all spiritual pursuit. "Where there is balance, there is harmony. Where there is harmony, there is oneness or unity." "The salt changed its form but did not change its quality—the quality of saltiness." Filming location: Hungary

Sweetness of God's Name

The divine name is a sweetness that grants immortality, freely given. God listens to all prayers. Saints are incarnations of divinity, moving among us like diamonds mistaken for glass, coming by free will to serve. Humans are lost in greed for power, which causes all conflict—war, terrorism, pollution. Peace is not a destination but the path itself; we must be the change we wish to see. The earth satisfies need, not greed. God exists in every heart, so who is there to hate? Lasting peace requires overcoming ignorance, which breeds fear, then aggression, depression, and hate. Children need love and education to foster cultural acceptance, for a society follows its youth. "If there is sweet, then it should be such a sweet which makes us immortal." "The Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed." Filming location: Hungary

Very important to become vegetarian - plants also have life

Consciousness ascends through purity, culminating in a super-conscious state attainable in this life. Our individual awareness is clouded by negative emotions like anger and greed; we must instead cultivate divine qualities such as love, compassion, and mercy. A fundamental practice is adopting a vegetarian diet, refusing to cause death for taste, as killing inflicts pain on all mothers—human or animal. While plants have life, we should consume mindfully, taking only what is necessary like fruits and leaves without destroying the whole organism. Storing and consuming dead animal bodies in the home is likened to keeping a human corpse, attracting negative energies that disrupt family harmony. Historical figures like Buddha exemplified this purity through meticulous, non-violent living and compassionate almsgiving. Your spiritual progress is a personal journey; theoretical knowledge is worthless without practice. Ultimately, you alone must navigate your destiny through your own conscious work. "Realize the human qualities: purity, love. For me, no one had to die. Better I die." "Your spiritual work on your body and mind and consciousness—that will guide you." Filming location: Hungary

Multireligious dialog

The heart is the heaven where all forms of God dwell. Conflict arises from ignorance of our shared spiritual truth. Different religions are ornaments of the same divine gold, all leading to the one God. When teachings come not from self-realization but from institutionalized religion, spirituality suffers and violence can follow. Ignorance breeds fear and aggression, causing discrimination and war. Education about all faiths is essential, replacing mere tolerance with genuine respect. We must extend this respect beyond humans to all creatures, recognizing their suffering. True spirituality has no borders; a family can happily follow different paths when united by this understanding. "Whichever religion we take, the final truth is God." "Let your heart be that heaven where all different incarnations dwell." Filming location: Prague, Czech Republic

The Essence and Purpose of Meditation

Meditation is the essential means to calm the mind, know the self, and purify one's qualities. It is the cradle that comfortably leads life, dissolves boundaries, and removes dualities and ignorance, providing nourishment for the self. Through it, one overcomes worldly restlessness and sorrows. The real direction in life comes from meditation, where valuable advice from the real self is received, inspiring motivation and showing the way to love and service. Meditation without a mantra is like a body without a soul; one should utilize a mantra. The number of repetitions is not important; the consciousness dwelling in the mantra is. Meditation is to learn to forgive, understand, love, and feel one with the Cosmic Self. The aim is to remove ignorance and realize the divine bliss within, understanding oneself as an inseparable instrument of God. Its purpose is to think on God and feel oneness, where no dualities or boundaries remain. "Meditation without a mantra is like a body without a soul; therefore, one should utilize a mantra during meditation." "In reality, meditation means to think on God, to be one with God, to feel the oneness with Him." Filming location: Prague, Czech Republic

Closing words at the World Peace Conference

We are here to awaken consciousness for world peace. We have gathered to spread this message, for a good beginning is not yet success. We must continue with goodwill, feeling an inner calling to show the good way. This peace is not only for humans; our planet is a living Mother Earth. We must awaken respect for her, as the saints did, and stop polluting and destroying her. World peace cannot be indifference to a neighbor's problems. We have learned that the world is one family. All religions speak of one God, so why fight? The problem arises when people take advantage of religion or create political parties in its name. Such narrow thinking divides us and causes conflict. We must bring the message that we are all one. Therefore, remove duality from your mind. Tons of theory are nothing compared to a grain of practice; one's life is the message. We must think freely, join together, and bring peace. "All religions are the same. The Rabbi said there is only one God. Father David said there is only one God. Our Mufti also said there is one God." "My life is a worship to God. We must think freely, join our heads together, and declare that we wish to bring peace to the world." Filming location: Vienna, Austria

Get enlightenment!

Attaining self-realization liberates your seven past generations and benefits seven future ones, placing you as the fifteenth in this chain of liberation. Physical health is ultimately transient, as death is certain for all bodies. Therefore, practices like āsanas and prāṇāyāma are not merely for health but are primarily for attaining enlightenment. We gather to follow cosmic and societal laws, receiving inspiration and new light, not just to hear stories. You become the light to liberate all ancestors. "if you attain self-realization, if you attain ātma-jñāna, then because of you, your seven past generations are automatically liberated." "The primary aim is to attain enlightenment. You are the light in that pitṛ loka, destined to liberate all the pitṛs." Filming location: Umag, Croatia

If you think you are happy, you will be

Human life is the highest evolution of consciousness, but it is a crossroads where one can rise toward the divine or fall into lower forms. Your development depends entirely on how you train your intellect and what qualities you cultivate; through your actions, you become a criminal, a thief, a murderer, or divine. We all share the same anatomy, but our individual qualities and habits shape our destiny, placing liberation in our own hands. Seek circumstances that foster good qualities and avoid those that develop negative ones. Human life operates under karmic consequence, where every action is counted—there is no neutral step, leading to either a positive or miserable life. In contrast, animals act from natural instinct. You are free to choose your path, and this world is created from your own mind; even within one house, each person lives in a uniquely perceived reality shaped by their thoughts. Your mindset determines your experience: if you think you are unhappy, you will be, but a resilient mind can reduce a thousand problems to ten. "Through divine activities, one becomes divine. It depends on you, individually, what you would like to be." "Your world, where you live, is created out of your own mind." Filming location: Umag, Croatia

Learn to forgive

The wise person forgives and forgets, letting anger pass without holding it in the heart. Worldly anger is like a line drawn on stone, permanent. Wise anger is like stirring water with a stick, separating only momentarily before becoming whole again. The past situation is gone; why suffer over it now? People often carry childhood anger toward parents for their strictness, but as adults, they understand that guidance was beneficial. You cannot retaliate against every harm, like biting a dog back; you simply learn to be careful in the future. Practice true forgiveness from the heart using wisdom. Only the great can genuinely forgive and forget; ordinary people struggle with this. "The anger of a worldly person is like a line drawn on stone, while the anger of a wise person is like stirring water with a stick." "When a dog bites you, you cannot bite the dog back. What can you do? You do only one thing: in the future, you should be careful." Filming location: Umag, Croatia

Tapa, Dama and Karma

The foundation of spiritual knowledge is tapa, dharma, and karma. Tapa means to endure and accept life's conditions. Dharma is to control the ego and temptations, and to perform right action. This foundation supports the house of your realization. Protect your spiritual prosperity by protecting your dharma, even through difficulties. Dharma means your obligations: to family, society, and nature. This is your personal duty. Fulfilling this human responsibility is crucial. Following dharma is not easy, such as giving up ingrained habits like eating meat. Knowing it is a sin and renouncing it is tapasyā; it is dharma; it is to not do that karma. That is your own dharma. "Dharma is to control: to control our ego, control our temptations, and control everything, and to do the right karma." "Protect your dharma, even if you have to go through certain difficulties." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Madhur Muskan

A genuine longing for the divine draws a gracious response, often as a brief glimpse. This experience, whether in meditation or nature, ignites an enduring inner sweetness and bliss. That sweetness manifests as an undisturbed smile, reflecting the inner presence of Brahman regardless of external circumstances. The glimpse, though fleeting, penetrates consciousness completely, creating a permanent memory and a deepening desire for union. The practitioner then dives into a profound bliss, unlike any worldly pleasure, which intoxicates and transforms. This creates an eternal place for the divine ideal within the heart, reawakening a longing that expresses as happiness, clarity, and light. "Nothing disturbs you. You have a sweet smile, and this sweet smile signifies that God, Brahman, is present within." "When the first experience comes, the sādhaka is so joyful... that ānanda is a different ānanda." Climate changes

Life requires the balanced harmony of all elements, which is yoga; disharmony brings destruction. Global warming signifies elemental disarray, altering both climate and human mentality, threatening health and the planet. Strict global laws must protect nature, as the sages foretold. Yoga creates balance by recognizing the divine presence within all elements. Everything is holy; losing this respect led to pollution. The power animating existence is not ours but belongs to the One in all. We must accept this universal truth and return to the wisdom of the sages to end conflict and preserve life. "Life cannot exist on this planet if there is no fire element." "Yoga means balance—to create balance." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Birthday satsang

The teacher is a humble instrument of divine grace, not a leader or master. All events and gatherings occur solely through divine blessing and protection. Life is in the hands of the almighty; one is merely an instrument and can do nothing without divine mercy. Like everyone, the teacher is an imperfect human bound to a physical body and planet. Help is given only through divine blessing and the science of yoga. The prayer is to dedicate one's life to service, tolerance, respect for all cultures, and understanding for every nation. The goal is for all to live happily together, overlooking mistakes, as only the Almighty is mighty. "I do not feel myself like a leader, or like a master, the guru." "I try to help only through the blessing of Mahāprabhujī and through this divine science of yoga." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Mind is a problem

The householder's path is a high dharma, not an ordinary life. A past saint may take this form due to unfulfilled karma, a "mid-realization crisis." Do not blame family life; revered deities also lived it. Choosing a partner requires years of discernment, marrying the person's heart and qualities, not physical attraction alone. The mind is the foundation: thought precedes feeling, then action. Mistakes begin in thinking, building a shaky foundation. A story illustrates how pending karma, like food waiting in a city, creates desires. By fulfilling that karma remotely, the desire vanishes. Therefore, harmonize mind, consciousness, and body. "First comes thought, then feelings develop, and then we act." "When you do it mentally, it will happen physically." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Why we have to suffer?

We cannot avoid suffering, as it is our karma, but we can change our present actions and thinking. By following the wise advice of a guru, we gain a protective power—like a life jacket—that can alter the course of our destiny. A story illustrates this: Destiny wrote a difficult fate for twin princes, including poverty and loss. A sādhu, their father's guru, later found them living as a hunter and a laborer. He gave each a specific instruction to follow, which they did reluctantly. The hunter was told to only hunt golden animals, and the laborer to sell any donkey that came to him. Their compliance created such a practical inconvenience for Destiny that she was compelled to accelerate their destined return to kingship. Thus, while destiny itself is fixed, following a guru's guidance can change its manifestation and timing. "Between us and our destiny, we must bring such a protective life jacket. That is your mantra, your prayers, your devotion, following the Guru Vākya and the counsel of the wise." "Thus, we cannot change destiny, and we cannot avoid it. But if we follow the advice of a wise one—even if it is hard for us to do—then our entire destiny can change." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

How do women get realization?

Liberation transcends gender distinctions. The soul and capacity for realization are identical for all. Historical suppression of women arose from circumstances like war, not spiritual law. In some traditions, women were denied scripture to maintain control. Spiritual growth is gradual; seeking powers leads to disturbance. Surrender your responsibility and work without worry. Purify your inner self through discipline, not diet. Control emotional reactions; this is key to realization. Your qualities, not external forms, determine your state. Living near holiness without inner change is futile, like a spoon in halva that cannot taste it. Liberation depends on inner purification, not gender, age, or title. Your shadow of karma follows you; do not try to run. In truth, women hold the highest spiritual position. "Women possess the same soul, the same ātmā, the same rights, and the same capacity for realization." "If you live with the Master but have not changed within, you cannot attain realization." Parameshvara

The Supreme Reality is not the perceived form but the essence that animates life itself. That which breathes through the prāṇa is Brahman. The Vedas describe an endless universe containing countless solar systems. We divide existence into the body, our cosmos, and the infinite whole. The true Self, the Ātmā, is the immortal governor within the body; it is unborn, undying, and without individual quality. The individual soul, bound by karma and quality, experiences heaven or hell. When individual quality dissolves into the universal, it is realized as the Ātmā. The power governing our solar system is Īśvara, while Parameśvara governs the entire universe. That Supreme essence is everywhere. Realization through senses and intellect is not Brahman; one must practice to become one with it. "That which breathes through the life force, that by which the prāṇa itself is animated—know that alone to be Brahman. It is not this form that is seen." "Anyhow, the ātmā is not born and will not die. No weapon can kill it, no elements can destroy it, death cannot take it away." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Real relation

A heart-shaped potato reveals the essence of relationship. A disciple in a kitchen found such a potato and ensured it traveled through many hands to reach her teacher. This act is not about the object but signifies an eternal connection, where one's intention is the other's happiness. My own thought is always to bring something that would please my teacher, seeking grace through that joy. Making others happy—family, friends, even a pet—defines your real relations. Without this, life degrades into fighting, anger, jealousy, and sorrow, which is self-torture. Life should be joyful. As stated in the Vajra: "I am Mahābhārata Yudhiṣṭhira." "Therefore, if you make happy your mother, your father, your sister, your brother, your colleagues, your friends, or your house pet, that is your real relation." "Without this, life is nothing but fighting, anger, jealousy, criticizing, screaming, sadness, offense, greed, ego, hatred, and complexes." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Happiness

True wealth is a harmonious life of tenfold happiness. The first wealth is a healthy body and mind. The second is a truthful and competent partner. The third is material sustenance and the ability to give, alongside healthy children. The fourth is obedient children who fulfill parental wishes. The fifth is having milk in the home, a symbol of prosperity. The sixth is to have good, selfless friends. The seventh is to have the best neighbors who are like family. The eighth is wisdom and a good society that inspires virtue. The ninth is inner satisfaction, where one desires nothing. The tenth is peace, which is incomparable to material wealth. The eleventh is harmony in body, mind, and all relationships. With spiritual practice and grace, this becomes a heavenly life. Without it, life is suffering. One must integrate yoga into daily life. "In the house where there is no milk, there is nothing." "You can have billions of dollars, but if you are not peaceful, then these billions are a subject of unhappiness." Renounce and Enjoy

To enjoy life, one must renounce, not just physically but in feeling. True renunciation, or tyāga, is a gate to liberation alongside endurance and meditation. Within this creation, we are not free from pain and ignorance; renunciation is our necessary practice. This includes sharing, as the greatest sacrifices are of knowledge and of offering sustenance to all, which becomes a blessed prasād. The communal bread shared is such a blessing. We should practice tyāga for others, willing to bear suffering ourselves. Human life is an invaluable, non-transferable jewel granted only once, fleeting like morning dew. We must offer all our actions and take a new vow for spiritual practice. "Enter the kingdom of the Lord through the gate of sacrifice—tyāga." "This human life is called amūlya ratna—a jewel or a precious stone which you cannot price." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Can we achieve realization?

Self-realization is not exclusive to monastic life but is achieved through inner purity, not external forms. Merely taking robes is a beginning, not liberation, and can inflate the ego. Realization arises from purity in action, thought, diet, and company—āchār, vichār, āhār, vihār. This purification cultivates love and humility toward all. A householder with family obligations can attain it, as can anyone in any honest vocation. Contentment within one's chosen path is key, though destructive lifestyles like crime are excluded. Discipline in prayer and meditation is advised, but without rigidity; spontaneous service, like playing with children, can be meditation itself. The process requires sincere, patient effort over time, not instantaneous attainment based on appearance. "Liberation or self-realization is not bound to any monastic order." "Liberation comes, realization comes from the purity of actions, purity of thoughts, and purity of behavior." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Stories from Puranas

The Purāṇas contain truths that transcend intellectual understanding and must be felt in the heart. Their stories awaken love or fear and describe miracles the modern mind cannot grasp. We often dismiss these ancient accounts as impossible or primitive, relying on argument instead of faith. For instance, a story tells of a child dead for hours being revived by a blessing, which medicine and logic reject. As devotees, we may verbally accept such events, but that acceptance often remains in the head, not the heart. True belief requires the direct experience of a witness, like a mother who saw her child restored to life. We commonly believe all ancient humans were primitive, yet the Purāṇas suggest a different reality where divine incarnations performed miracles regardless of human development. When God incarnates, His actions are by nature miraculous. Our intellect hits a wall; only direct witness or heartfelt faith can bridge the gap to belief. "Sometimes the stories are described in a manner that the present human intellect cannot understand or grasp, because they are so miraculous." "But if you were that mother... and he gave it life, you would tell us so clearly, with that confidence: 'It is true.'" Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic

Gurupurnima Satsang part 2

The Vyāsa Gāḍī is the sacred seat of the Master, worthy of worship. This seat must be given only to the successor chosen by the Master after deep contemplation; otherwise, the lineage fails. The principle extends to the Master's personal space, which a disciple should not occupy without permission. You can have such a seat in your home for worship. Guru Pūrṇimā is celebrated as the birthday of the great sage Ved Vyāsa. "Gu" means darkness and "ru" means light; the Guru leads from ignorance to wisdom. Vyāsa compiled the Vedas, which contain the universe's knowledge. Some masters, rejecting the Vedas, founded other religions like Buddhism, which debates concepts like the soul. My meditation reveals a second explanation: Guru Pūrṇimā marks the first sunlight touching the primordial earth, the original moment of light emerging from darkness, celebrated since that time. Today, offer your year's practice to the Guru and take a new vow for truthful, diligent spiritual practice. "Gu means dark, and ru means light. The Guru leads us from the darkness of ignorance to the light of wisdom." "That first union of light with the earth is like coming from a dark room into a lighted one... It is the embodiment of the mantra: 'Tamaso mā jyotir gamaya'—lead me from darkness to light." Filming location: Strilky, Czech Republic
